I guess I kind of see that but it feels far more retro 60s than Wes Anderson and I say that as a big Anderson fan.

Yeah, it's nice to see these kind of productions going back to miniatures again. They seem to really be working on a nice combination of practical effects and CGI for these kind of movies now, which is a nice change from when everything was just CGI.

I know it's not her, but every time I see the shot of the people standing outside of store playing The Ted Gilbert Show (0:22 mark in the second trailer in the first post), the young woman on the right who gets jostled by the kids looks a lot like Emilia Clarke. Same frame, same brow, same height.

Would be a super weird place for G'iah to pop up considering different time period in a different universe...although not too weird since Skrulls do have a strong history with the Fantastic Four (including originating in the second issue)...

The official comic tie-in provides a little bit of backstory, including their origin through their first adventure.

We learn about the Mole Man's motivations and what his status and and that of his people are in this world and we learn the origin of "It's clobbering time!" (HINT: It is apparently not the cartoon.)

I've seen a positive reaction review and a positive review so far. Seems like the buzz is pretty positive, and I appreciate that this is a film that can stand on it's own. Now I wonder how it connects to Thunderbolts*
