The unnecessary reboot/remake of the week thread

I personally don't think so. I never found him to be a particularly compelling character in the original - kind of a pathetic sad sack that never amounted to much of anything outside his comic store. Denise was a far more interesting and relatable character, IMO, and will probably be instrumental in carrying the show beyond its first season. There will only be so many BBT cameos they can do after the pilot before it gets relegated to "One Trick Pony" status.

Reading the premise of the show, it sounds like they're trying to recreate "Sliders".
Leonard and Sheldon give Stuart device that rips open the fabric of the universe and Stuart, Denise, Kripke and Bert have to travel to other Earth's in order to find the solution that will save their universe from destruction.

Legendary Entertainment may be looking to acquire Lionsgate Studios, which has just spun off on its own ticker on Wall Street.

And then the three Sheldon's have to decide who is to put the last piece in to fix the temporal anomaly and then get to arguing over which one gets the credit....

it was all an AI binge watch by Sheldon's and Stuart's couch bound progeny...

"How I Met Your Other" would be a fairly fun one where Leonard meets Mirror Stuart...

Someone switches Bert's personality with Sheldon...

Might be fun. Or not.

I hope Scrubs 2.0 is as funny. It'd be nice to have a comedy in that style again.

They announced this last year, saying it would be released in 2025, but they haven't announced the voice cast. My estimate for the budget is $1-2 million per episode, and I'm guessing they're using low-paid voice actors. Oh, and let's not forget that Netflix doesn't advertise animated films much. So, they could announce the release date with a trailer 1.5-2 months before the year-end release.

Evan Rachel Wood was not invited back for Practical Magic 2 and they are recasting the part instead.

Deathstaker (anyone here even know what that is?) is being remade with Daniel Bernhardt.

to the “Sonic the Hedgehog” series, which continues to be a juggernaut for Paramount. Its third installment currently ranks as the sixth highest-grossing video game movie of all time, earning over $514.2 million worldwide. (Paramount has already penciled a fourth film in for 2027 and is eying spinoff features.)

You can check out but you can never leave...

Amityville is being remade for the 273rd time. I wonder how the family feels about a man snapping and killing six of his family members being treated as something supernatural.

What can this movie bring to the table that the James Brolin and Ryan Reynolds versions haven't.

This time some of the victims will have smart phones and they will say words like slop, problematic, rizz and everyone will have Marvel dialogue. Axe murderer will be standing behind some guy who is talking shit about the so called murderer who use to live in the house. The lady he is talking to will get quiet and he will say 'He is behind me isn't he." Then someone will have their head chopped off and one of the other characters will be like 'Well that just happened."
