It's shorthand that everyone understands that allows us to quickly communicate which block of episodes we're referring to without saying "The second era with Russell T Davies as showrunner". Plus it sounds like R2-D2.
Likewise. It's very weird. Especially as someone who was pretty critical of certain aspects of his writing, particularly in the first two series.As someone who, whilst he didn't hate RTD, had issues with his first era, it's ironic to now be on the other side of the fence
On a completely different note just discovered that Rachel Zegler is a DW fan. They should have tried to get her in for a cameo in the Eurovision episode.

I don't think we want to stir the pot of all the people that hate Rachel Zegler. That's the last thing DW needs at the moment.
They shouldn't be given any consideration at all.
I'm going to say it, I don't understand why everyone hates Rachel Zegler. Granted, I've not seen any of her movies (she's yet to be in one I'm interested in) but I doubt she's that bad in them to justify her current status of the internet's punching bag.
She spoke against the genocide in Gaza. That's all you need to know.

She came off kind of self-absorbed and didn't respect the original movie enough. Basically like a cliche Hollywood star with a big ego. The fact she wasn't white then made that a perfect combo to create rage bait content. Then to top it off it seems the movie wasn't very good as well so that basically killed her chance of being a big movie star. My guess she will rebound somewhat and do tv. Her strength is of course her singing and someone will find a way to use that I suspect.
If only there was some way she could use her talent for singing?

And what movie are you talking about? Sure, from context, I'm guessing you're talking about Snow White, but you really can't walk into a thread and start talking about "the movie" when no movies were being discussed and expect everyone (or anyone, really) to be on the same page.
Even the channels that were against her said she was the best thing in the film.
And of course her co-star in Snow White was Gal Godot. So the whole Israel/Palestine celeb takes and Hollywood’s whole thing around that was just extra.
It’s a tale so crazy it could almost be Golden Age Hollywood.

She's rather brilliant in West Side Story, IMO.
I just assumed people would know it's "Snow White." I mean that is the movie when all the controversy stuff got started.
I know she is in that Y2K movie which I actually want to see. Sounds like a fun, escapism type of comedy horror movie.
One thing I find amusing and disturbing at the same time is casting older actors like late 20s early 30s as teenagers, I felt a bit icky because in Journey 2 Vanessa Hudgens is like 24 but supposed to be 16 and there's a few camera shots of her that focus on her femaleness and well my little fella stands up
