Future of Paramount+ among merger talks

If she wants to blame anyone, she should blame Donald Trump.

Bribery is going to be tough to prove. A civil settlement is perfectly legitimate.

Trump didn't get what he wanted (He wanted $25 million at a minimum. He got $16 million.)

According to Perplexity:
A total of approximately $5.5 billion was spent on the 2024 presidential election, making it the second most expensive presidential race since at least 1998. This figure includes spending by presidential candidates, political parties, and independent interest groups. When factoring in congressional races, the overall cost of all 2024 federal campaigns reached about $15.9 billion.
So he was inflating the costs by a factor of 4:rofl:

It's enough for me to take a pass on maintaining Paramount+. Can't imagine I'm alone.

You’re not. I’m struggling to understand why any Star Trek fan would continue subscribing to P+ by next year. Do they even have any noteworthy shows besides Trek and Yellowstone (which has already ended)?

Still watch NCIS. Also has Dr. Quinn, and my wife likes it.

Honestly, Trek is like third billing for why we have Paramount Plus.

They have a number of other Taylor Sheridan shows which are actually quite good like "Lioness" and "Landman". Haven't watched "Tulsa King" yet, but it also seems to be quite popular, and I believe there's at least one other Yellowstone spinoff in the works, possibly two. I used to watch "Evil", but I'm kind of glad it's over - it got to be quite an exhausting experience.
