Have you met Star Trek?Season 1 and 2 both got terrible reviews and no traction outside of a niche fan base. If it takes you 25 episodes for your show to get good, it just isn't good.

I don't disagree, unfortunately in the current TV landscape you can't afford to "figure out" the show over a season like you used to be able to.
However, Starbreaker was incorrect about both seasons getting terrible reviews--season 1's critical reviews were actually pretty good (81%) but audience reviews were 61% which is what really matters. But season 2 very well reviewed by both (86% and 81%), and deservedly so. Unfortunately the unevenness of season 1 did seem to kill any hype the show might have had, because I didn't hear much buzz around the much-improved second season. I did notice a lot more buzz around season 3, but sadly l guess it was too little, too late.
