A new fish; something called a minature parrot. My cichled got sick and all the Oscars ganged up on him, so I needed a new, meaner fish. Thus far, he's been sticking the oscars in their places.

I just bought a copy of Perspective, one of a series of promotional books that Syd Mead did for the United States Steel company back in the 1960's. Now I have to try and find the rest of the set. I've been able to borrow a couple of them through Inter Library Loan, but its wonderfull to finally have one of them to add to the rest of my Mead collection.
Well this was quite the shopping weekend. In addition to groceries I got:

I saw this at a poster fair and couldn't resist. Nothing like a piece of cold-war propaganda to keep you company whist in the biffy.

and am going to get it next time the price drops down any. This thing is an absolute beast. All metal case, waterproof to 33 ft, crush-proof to 225lbs, drop-proof to 6 or 7 feet, it's just designed to take an absolute beating. And also a 10 megapixel camera. Figured it would be nice to have one camera that you can take out without worrying about, take underwater pictures without worrying about the expensive case for it or buying the special cameras, etc...
