News Star Trek Voyager Documentary

Good lord, it was almost exactly six months between emails to backers?

Meanwhile, look at how much folks found out and saw by attending conventions during that same time. We've all discussed this at length in this thread already, but that aggravates me to no end.

They showed this thing on the Cruise, which I think is at the minimum over $2000 to attend. That aggravated me. I donated to get a downloaded copy and a blu ray of the film and with them not even communicating with me (And I did go to conventions) they showed this thing on the freaking Cruise. So basically if you didn't donate but paid an exorbitant amount of money, you got to see the film before a downloaded copy came out. I would have actually been fine with it if they had delivered a downloadable copy the day after their first screening to those backers. Then they could have delivered another downloadable copy with the new stuff and special features. Instead they bypassed me and thousands of other backers because we didn't pay enough.

I got several of the digital perks like the poster and VOY callsheet, etc but I don't recall getting this one:
  • 1 x Digital BTS Book

Well, here we are. There are only a few hours left in the month of April and still nothing. I believe it was supposed to be sent to backers by now. I shouldn't be shocked by this point, but I just can't get over the lack of transparency. As someone who works on a project to project basis where transparency is crucial, we DO NOT declare when something is going to be done until we know for sure. And if that deadline has to move, we let our stakeholders know immediately.

We’re just finishing some logistics and expect it’ll be out this week. We’ll be in touch with backers very soon. We can’t wait for you to see it!

They've been saying that for the last 2 years.

I was thinking about this today. We are in the final hours of April and still no documentary. Not only that, but I had to come here to see an update from 455 Films, not get an email, which is what I should have gotten. These people really do suck at their jobs.

I'm not even looking forward to it anymore. I get it and my reaction would be "meh". The excitement ship sailed maybe 6 months ago.

I expect it'll be out soon and 455's communication is lacking once again. In an odd twist I'll kind of miss random members here finding news tidbits scattered around the 'Net and posting them here like some kind of Easter egg hunt prize.
I'm waiting for the next big announcement to be given for paying crowds at STLV this August, as seems to be tradition for 455 at this point.

The documentary was somehow transmitted directly into the Delta Quadrant and spent years making its way back.

I really feel for all you guys who stumped up cash. It must be so frustrating.

Still nothing. The frustration is real.

I'm sorry I ever backed this documentary.
