Hmmm ... If it comes to fruition, this could be some pretty good news. Jericho may still have some life left in it, even though it's been killed twice. Though I fear it may end up being like the third season of Star Trek, the only other series I can think of that was canceled twice, only to be brought back for a third season.

Jericho may be the first seven-year show to be cancelled seven times at this rate.....

Dear lord. On the one hand, you've got to love the "thinking outside the box." On the other, I just wish the show would go away at this point.

I'd love for it to come back-but how would the deal work? I pay zero attention to whats going on with Friday Night Lights.

    CBS JUST figured this out???

I don't watch the show, the only thing more annoying than a crazy Firefly fan is a crazy Jericho fan, however how stupid is CBS?

NBC has a L&O first air on TNN or something, and then show it on CBS. CBS just thought of this AFTER canceling the show? God damn idiots working at that network could soon over take Fox for being the worst run network.

If Jericho gets yet another chance (and that would be nice imo), the producers' main goal should be to wrap the thing up ASAP so the show at least gets some kind of satisfying solution before it's killed again.

There is lots of activity on the Sci Fi Forums for Jericho. The petition they put up has passed 20,000 signed. The overall save the show campaign seems and feels far more disorganized this time around. There is no clear place to send stuff too, including letters. I think most people are sending stuff to the Sci Fi network which is probably the best bet to get the show back.

The comcast thing would be fine with me. I could wait an extra four months before I get to watch as long as we get the show. Even from a quick glance at the forums on Sci Fi's board or CBS you can see that this show garners a passion level I have not seen before. I think Sci Fi should take a chance. :)

That would be the beauty of the Sci Fi network. If they were getting 1.8 and such for BSG and Atlantis I can't see Jericho doing any worse. And with BSG about to end getting a show with critical acclaim to take over is a good thing for them. I could see Jericho doing a full few seasons over there, if they give it a chance. There are people on the CBS boards saying they will rent motel rooms to watch the show if their cable provider does not carry the network that shows it. Now thats dedication!

Jericho should be revived. Everytime they get a good storyline going they get kicked in the balls by the network.

You bring up another point, why isn't this in the sci-fi section?

^Because the SciFi mods always kick the threads over here. I'm really rooting for it to be renewed, but I would be completely and utterly shocked if this came to fruitation. My impression was that CBS was competely done with Jericho, so if it got a revival, it would be elsewhere, such as SciFi. This would be cool though, since that means it would be available to a larger audience.

If DirecTV picks it up yes everyone would eventually get to see it, though DirectTV customers would get to see it before it aired on NBC.

One minor correction: The article said that CBS was considering this option with Comcast cable, not DirecTV satellite.

There is some recent news. Maybe good news too. Comcast is in negotiations to pick up the show. They would be sponsoring it. This news is hot off the press.

"The following response has been received by some of us who have contacted Comcast via their web site after reading the NYT article about the talks between CBS Paramount and Comcast concerning a third season of JERICHO:
Thank you for contacting Comcast Cable.

We would like to expedite your idea for upgrading when you contact us at
1-800- COMCAST. All requests on programming are forwarded to our
programming department for future consideration. We also have posted
the Jericho web site on CBS.com
    which confirms that Comcast is
    attempting to retain the program.

We appreciate your patronage and loyalty"
