You seem to always believe that Paramount is suddenly going to stop greenlit Star Trek productions at the drop of a hat.
I suspect they lifted this idea from "Visit to A Weird Planet Revisited" from 1976, sequel to an earlier story "Visit to a Weird Planet" (1968), where Kirk, Spock and McCoy found themselves in the Paramount filming studios after a transporter accident. They actually had a New Voyages short story where Shatner, Nimoy, and Kelly were beamed aboard the Enterprise of a parallel universe and had to actually act out their roles.
I got it in a box somewhere, I think.
I think that's exactly the story I was referring to. I think I have it and other stories in paperback. It was a Bantam book.I suspect they lifted this idea from "Visit to A Weird Planet Revisited" from 1976, sequel to an earlier story "Visit to a Weird Planet" (1968), where Kirk, Spock and McCoy found themselves in the Paramount filming studios after a transporter accident.
there’s also a comic where the Eleventh Doctor Who lands at a convention and meets the actor Matt SmithI suspect they lifted this idea from "Visit to A Weird Planet Revisited" from 1976, sequel to an earlier story "Visit to a Weird Planet" (1968), where Kirk, Spock and McCoy found themselves in the Paramount filming studios after a transporter accident.
Kirk finally tries to live out his retirement but he’s now a big celebrity so he’s being hounded? You know they could have Shatner do that live action comedy being done by Tawny Newsome. Use some deaging graphics to make him look like he did in Generations. He has been brought out of cold storage and he is on vacation.
SNW will end with Kirk in the centre seat, the real question is will they lead into a ‘TOS: Year One’ starring Wesley and Peck or not?
Why not have 1 or 2 seasons of SNW with Kirk, Spock, Bones, Scotty, Sulu, and Uhura on the Enterprise, showing the beginning of Kirk's command of the ship. Bring in Gary Mitchell as well.

Liz Dehner is a "new hire." Not much room for adventures before her demise.
Kirk and Mitchell don't seem to know her. She definitely "knows" them, though. They've rewritten so much else, giving that a pass would be a very tiny thing for them. Gary's coldness and attitude towards her could be a result of stuff thats happened already. If I'm supposed to get over all sorts of things that I've complained about, they can do this for me. Lmfao. (half joking... but since I already insist its in a rewritten timeline, this wouldn't bother me at all.)
"PIPER: Life sciences ready, sir. This is Doctor Dehner, who joined the ship at the Aldebaran colony."
That could have been months ago, and the statement was just a reminder to those that she hadn't interacted with directly yet. Doesn't say specifically who would know that.
"That's the joke gif"She's read their files in preparation for her assignment, naturally. She knows their types, if not them personally.
