$80 games? Fuck no.
$764 for the console here from JB Hifi in Australia, nope happy with the one I have because I bought the switch OLED last year and am very happy with it
I'm not going to pay 470 Euros (!) just to play the new Pokémon game that will get a release for the original Switch as well anyway. (I have no interest in any of the other games, most of them seem to be either upgraded versions of games that already exist or third party games that are already available on other consoles.) And freaking 90 Euros for a physical copy of the new Mario Kart? WTF, Nintendo? I'll stick to playing the original Mario Kart on my SNES, thank you very much.
So yeah, I'm out for now when it comes to the Switch 2... unless they give me a new Animal Crossing game (and maybe also an Animal Crossing Switch 2 Edition).

Nope. At least not for quite awhile. The cost of the games, the SD cards, is what pushed me to the wait category. The system price is more than I like tho. Dreading the tariffs, which will make things worse.

I could absorb the console cost but it's the price of games and Nintendo's first party games never have sales that is something I don't know if I can mentally handle. It's just too much knowing they're never on sale and users who prefer cartridges get charged more.

I know it's not gonna help because Nintendo won't budge but it did make me feel somewhat good to see the Treehouse livestream Nintendo did the other day being flooded with "DROP THE PRICE!" comments.

Yep as in far more than the $700 (spec) price point. It's a hell no for me, until if there's ever a price drop.
Scalpers are definitely going to have a field day with this one. Sadly, Nintendo console prices don't drop too much most of the time unless you really wait for quite a while. I never buy consoles at launch anyway - they come with so many glitches and whatnot at first and it always takes the devs a while to even it all out with updates. It's just not worth the hassle. And with a price tag like the one the Switch 2 has... no way.
Frankly, no. I'm not the right target audience. I never bought a Switch.
Yep. And I'm prepared for that wait. Have more than enough to keep me busy with my system. Exactly. I waited out 2 years before getting my Switch. Still had to send it in for repairs since the joycons and the motherboard were lemons. It's all good now tho.
