For what it's worth, Ferrick reported that this was during the "An Evening With..." panel.
I wonder if Sean Ferrick went on the cruise on his own dime If Trek Culture footed the bill? If it's the latter, he was probably obligated to report some headline worthy news to draw enough clicks to justify the expense.
It was on his own dime. He did on it on a payment plan. Talked about it in the video last page.
He describes exactly the panel that I was at. Based on my recollection, here’s what Mulgrew said at the very end (paraphrasing here):
Mulgrew: Do you all really think that Janeway should come back?
Audience: (claps and enthusiastically agrees)
Mulgrew: Well, if you all feel that way, then I would seriously consider it.
(End of panel.)
Mulgrew mentioned nothing during the entire panel about any discussions with CBS/Paramount. Because believe me, I would have taken note of that. That thing at the end happened because the audience was getting riled up because she was talking about the present political climate. It was the audience that was jonesing for Janeway (a strong female character) to come back, not Mulgrew stating that this was going to happen, unlike MsBluffy’s recollection above. Saying that she ‘would seriously consider it’ was just her pandering to the crowd. Because I know the difference between pandering and making an official statement.
Now you are welcome to disagree with me and think I’m wrong. There are enough idiots on Reddit who think I’m full of shit when I bring it up there, despite them not actually having attended the cruise and are just adding to the snowball effect that other people online have started about it. And sure, perhaps she implied something at the panel I didn’t attend, but the link you posted makes it sound like the guy was at the same one I was. Or at the most, she did the pandering thing at both panels. Because why would she make an official statement at one panel and not the other?

I'm not going to dignify it with a link, but in the spirit of the thread I'll at least mention that I ran into this report from Cosmic Book News:
"Following already cancelling and seemingly erasing Discovery from canon, it’s said that Paramount is reshooting Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 because they deem it to be too woke, and that as a result, the new season is delayed."
It's this level of quality, totally-not-made-up reporting that has led me to tell Google not to send me stories from them in the past.

In more reliable but only semi-confirmed news, WhatCulture/TrekCulture is pointing out that the official SkyShowTime Netherlands Facebook page has stated (in a reply to a comment) that Strange New Worlds season 3 comes out there in August 1. TrekCulture gives this the appropriate grain of salt for what this means for other countries, but the comment hasn't been deleted, and historically it airs there the day after it airs in the U.S., so that could mean it's premiering July 31, 2025.
I've verified the comment myself. My attempts to get a working direct link to it haven't worked great (thanks, Facebook), but try this link if you want. It's on a Section 31 post.

Considering "Cosmic Book News" is a website nobody's ever heard of, the chances that it's a clickbait site are about 100%.
I see the "completely made up news" cycle has reached the "they're forced to reshoot things" part again. Next would be "test audiences hated it" and then "the show has been/will be cancelled" and then "Kurtzman has been sacked".... same clickbait/ragebait procedure every time.
I've run into it many times over at least the last 6-7 years, even though I generally wish I hadn't. (Usually via Google News alerts and that sort of thing.) Everyone's internet ecosystem is different.
But, yes, it's a clickbait site that leans into ragebait articles, generally based on slanted reporting, removing context, or flat-out lies, usually to prove points about how awful Brie Larson supposedly is and that sort of thing. See also Bounding Into Comics or Bleeding Fool. (Or, better yet, don't.)
I think Bleeding Cool (as opposed to Bleeding Fool) is actually pretty good overall, especially if you're interested in news about the comics (which I am), but I guess the line between reporting and clickbait can be a fine line, so maybe we just view it differently.
Screen Rant leans more into the clickbait, although at least their accuracy is pretty decent, or at least it would be if they stopped referring to the comics as if they were canon.

Vaguely related Star Trek note: The "motorcycle guy" from Captain Marvel mentioned in the article was played by Rob Kazinsky, Zeph from Section 31. Super-nice guy who's very knowledgeable about Trek and was very psyched to be in both the MCU and Star Trek, almost regardless of the role he would serve. Wish he ended up in a stronger Trek entry, but I'm glad he seems really happy to have been in it.
And, to the point of the thread, clickbait sites have been taking the poor guy out of context endlessly in the last few months.
Hmm. I think the only thing I've seen her in is a few Nissan commercials. (I wish Nissan had featured her in a Leaf spot, but then again, I don't think they ever actually had to advertise the Leaf.)
At any rate, I spotted the "cosmicbook" page in question just now, looking for updates on a SNW season 3 release date. Glad to see that the site is pretty much discredited, although like many lies, it could have a grain of truth: CBS/Paramount could be dragging their feet on all yet-to-be-released ST, out of fear of retribution from Trump and the puppet-masters pulling his strings.
I think they're waiting until the merger with Skydance is approved by the FCC.
The FCC is hammering ABC and Disney over DEI.
Then there's CBS's $20 billion feud with Donald Trump.
