DC, yes, but not Marvel. I think Marvel did that once with their second Secret Wars, but usually everything since 1939 is treated as a single ongoing continuity. They update things and just pretend it was that way all along.

He already appeared in The Marvels and plenty of people, myself included, loved his take on Beast in X-Men: The Last Stand, one of the few good things about that film.

Can't confirm the 1x World ReBoot definitively; however, I will say that Marvel's sliding timeline tends to be much less confusing than DCs multiple reboots.
