I don’t know if this is controversial or not but I think Archer is one of my most favorite captains. I like all of the captains. I can’t pick a favorite but I love that Chuck Yeager vibe from him.
I liked him fine. People complained about him not being Kirk, but of course he wouldn’t be, that early!
Even "Where No Man Has Gone Before(TOS)" Kirk wasn't the Kirk we knew from most of the regular series run!

As a TAS fan I can't even be mad at that. No SNW? Some kind of Golden Retriever or Lab? Maybe a Huskie?
Shatner was pretty much Kirk right out of the box. Maybe a question of measurement just by what they would ask him to do.
SNW could be a Jack Russell - it bounces alot and is slightly insane.
