NCIS franchise

We've got NCIS Origins in the UK now, only three episodes in, but finding am enjoying it more than Sydney and OG

That's who the returning character everyone's been teasing the past few weeks is? A bit of a let down to be honest. Okay, that's a bit harsh. I do like the character but after having him essentially take over Hawai'i for its final season, I could go without seeing him for a while.

Also, I was hoping the teased returning character would be either Tony and/or Ziva to set up for their spin-off. Oh well.

I admit, I was hoping beyond hope that it would be Abby (no. 1) back, that with Harmon no longer acting on the series, Pauley Perrette might return every now and again.

Harmon is still a producer and still makes regular visits to the set, which made it obvious to me it wouldn't be Abby.

I didn't realize that he still had an active hand in the show. I assumed the producer credit at this point was like when the post-TOS Trek movies gave Roddenberry a "placate him" credit.

A lot of times when that happens, the credit would shift to something like "Creative Consultant" or "Executive Consultant." Michael Piller and Jeri Taylor received "Creative Consultant" credits after moving on from DS9 and VOY – they still gave input on storylines and scripts, but weren't involved in the day-to-day, and the folks who were weren't obligated to take their advice. David Milch had an "Executive Consultant" credit for the 8th season of NYPD Blue before he moved on from the show entirely. So the fact that Harmon's credit is still "Executive Producer" implies he's at least a little more involved with the day-to-day of the franchise.

Oh lord how did they not catch that.

At the start of NCIS tonight, Jimmy is doing a sketch, but in one of the shots he doesn’t even have the pencil between the fingers he’s doing the drawing motions with.

I’m guessing the shot was supposed to be from behind the sketch book, so he only had to pretend to draw.

Sawyer reminds me of Tony.

And that must be the 50th time we saw that alley. Not to mention it likely was used in other shows...

It's only 8 episodes.

good news, NCIS Syndey has 10 episodes in Season 2 after all :)

Episode 2.08, Friday, April 11
“Blood Is Thicker Than Vodka” – The discovery of a sailor who has been drained of blood leads NCIS: Sydney into the world of modern-day vampires.

Episode 2.09, Friday, April 18
“Mango Madness” – The team battles searing temperatures to investigate the death of a U.S. Marine corporal killed during a joint training exercise between U.S. and Australian troops.

Episode 2.10, Friday, April 25
“Sting in the Tail” – The team races to find a missing stinger missile on the eve of a World War II commemoration ceremony.

Happy to be wrong in thus case!

Do we know when the NCIS Darwin episodes are airing? Is it the Finale?

Apparently it's the final two episodes, so 9 and 10.

from executive producer Morgan O’Neill:
"We end up in the top end of Australia, up in Darwin, for the climactic last two episodes of the season"
"Sydney’s on the bottom of the southeast part of Australia, and Darwin is in the very top north. It’s the bit that faces Indonesia, and it’s tropical, and it’s filled with saltwater crocodiles…. It’s like the frontier."

The character of
Lara Macy
will be appearing in the Origins season finale.
I figured as much when they announced the Hernandez story arc popping up again in the episode description a few weeks ago - I thought it would be sometime early next season.

Gives me hope that in season two or three we will see the Fed Five forming and Dwayne Pride.
