I really enjoyed the scenes with him working with Sisko. Especially the one where they both were talking about their sons.I just wish he hadn't gone bonkers insane. I think he should have met his fate with his faculties intact

I feel like the Bajorans in DS9 and TNG came off as terrorists / radicals, and I really wish that Dukat was reformed and became some kind of hero at the end of the show instead of going bonkers insane.
The Cardassians as a people...yes, okay.I think what the Cardassians went through in the Dominion war did more than enough to reform them.
Isn't it CBS that made the series win the Emmy Special Jury Award for its 52nd anniversary instead of its 50th anniversary? They're in the middle of a shit show right now with this whole Paramount Global/Skydance dumpster fire going on.
Just like the botched 50th, I suspect it will screw up any real meaningful effort of anniversary events/merchandising.
Even if everything goes smoothly (and there has been no indication that this has been the case thus far), it will take them months, if not close to a year, to settle the administrative dust to do anything for the franchise. It'll likely be yet another missed opportunity. This has all happened before - this will all happen again.
In short, don't hold your breath.
But I wish they would try and release 13 movies all over the world at once, 1 week apart.
I wish more was done with the Cardassians. More that can paint them in a good light. I wanted to see more Cardassian characters. The Cardassians as a people...yes, okay.
Dukat...no.
I read that post in the voice of the protester outside the bank in Falling Down.
Eventually. He was, on the whole, fairly despicable.Damar was about the only enjoyable Cardassian.
Garak was not fun.Eventually. He was, on the whole, fairly despicable.
Wait, what about Garak? (Also despicable, but really so much fun!)
I got to say, your post certainly qualifies as a match for the thread title.Garak was not fun.

That works for today.
I always enjoyed watching Garak, but that comes down to how Robinson portrayed him.Garak was not fun.

I do give all credit to Robinson and his portrayal for my dislike of the character. I do not usually enjoy smooth criminal operators like Garak was played as, a smile to your face and a knife in your back if it suited his purpose. I dislike Captain Jack Sparrow and Harry Mudd for similar reasons. Great for maybe and episode or two but they're scoundrels who then get admired.I always enjoyed watching Garak, but that comes down to how Robinson portrayed him.
