Watching Disney's "Snow White" remake getting blasted from every direction. It's like watching a trainwreck in slow motion at this point. Wondering if it's going to break the "biggest bomb" record (currently held by "John Carter").
Hard to say who did more damage to that movie, Rachel Zigler or Peter Dinklage. Those CGI Dwarfs are nightmare fuel for sure.
Maybe a little hard to believe but this has been going on since 2022.Hard to say who did more damage to that movie, Rachel Zigler or Peter Dinklage.

I remember that... it was part of the "outsiders from hell" trend that also included "Fatal Attraction", "Unlawful Entry", and "The Hand that Rocks the Cradle".Jenna Ortega and Taylor Russell are in talks to star in a ‘SINGLE WHITE FEMALE’ reboot. The original psychological erotic thriller follows a woman who begins to rent out a room to another woman but soon finds strange patterns of behavior.
Longer. Disney's made remaking their past work a thing for a good part of this century. The "strong women, useless men" trope that infects a lot of their work has been a going on for at least 10 years.Maybe a little hard to believe but this has been going on since 2022.
All the more reason to watch the original and give the remake a hard pass.Looks like they've cut "I'm wishing", "Someday my Prince will come" (SW's signature song), and "One Song" (the Prince's song), and cut down "The Silly Song" to just the Yodeling. Which is like half the original soundtrack.
There's a happy medium between "damsel in distress" and "empower womxn by making men pathetic". Several Renissance movies managed this quite well. At the end of "The Little Mermaid" (the original), Ariel and Eric save each other's lives and fight Ursula side by side. The remake can't handle that, so it makes Eric pretty much useless and Ariel has to save the day over and over.Well, of course they have! Can't be advocating as shills for the "patriarchy", now, can they?![]()
I'm talking about this specific movie, this slow motion car crash.Longer. Disney's made remaking their past work a thing for a good part of this century. The "strong women, useless men" trope that infects a lot of their work has been a going on for at least 10 years.
Well, they're in full damage control mode now. It's no longer a question of will they lose money, but how much.I'm talking about this specific movie, this slow motion car crash.

A lot people going to see it?I'm trying to figure out what circumstances could stop it from bombing. Short of Disney having a secret lab with a global mind control ray, nothing comes to mind.
To see if it was as bad as the hype, maybe.A lot people going to see it?
Without PLAY MISTY FOR ME, would there even have been a FATAL ATTRACTION? Perhaps yes, if we take that Dennis Weaver TV-movie with the hippies-from-hell into account, yet.......I remember that... it was part of the "outsiders from hell" trend that also included "Fatal Attraction", "Unlawful Entry", and "The Hand that Rocks the Cradle".
You mean the "Seven Magical Creatures of all Sizes, Races and Genders"?
Doesn't really roll of the tongue...
That was their original plan, and it was then scrapped and replaced by bizarre CGI versions of the dwarfs. I would have preferred the magical creatures. You mean the "Seven Magical Creatures of all Sizes, Races and Genders"?
