What are your controversial Star Trek opinions?

Believe me as someone who's started the path of patchy and thinning hair if we had a chance to cure it I would.
See how unevolved you are? They are not like that in the 24th century.

It's very disheartening realising your hair is on its way out. Yes there's treatments today that may or may not work or even make it worse, treatments that are very expensive in the long and short term.
It's really a gut punch.
So with that in mind I just have to accept it, buzz cut is the new norm and I own it. Also lots of hats haha
I have been blessed with a full head of hair and I'm actually starting to worry that people will think that I color it. (How's THAT for tempting the fates?)

But I certainly relate. Few things have shook me like having to wear glasses almost a full ten years before Jim Kirk did. (And yes, the first time I needed them to really see something I muttered "Damn" under my breath, unironically.) I miss my perfect eyesight. Where is my Retinax 5?

I researched it. Just didn’t like the idea of the possible side effects, some say hair loss gets worse before it gets better, no guarantee it will work at all for you. Plus these treatments are not cheap here in the uk, and I’ve read even if it does work for you and you stop using them the hair loss returns.
Certainly not going to look into the hair plugs route ..
So I’ve accepted it, purchased hair clippers and owned my new look.

If there was a true miracle cure, no side effects and no financial dependent treatment I’ll go for it lol.
But that’s life, embrace it. If anyone takes the piss I just say Sir Patrick Stewart was considered a sexy man by many and he’s balder than I.
Up to you.

But at least there are 2x FDA approved treatments.

I thought you should know about it before making any final decisions.

Oh thanks for the info. :techman:
Been rocking the buzz cut since 2020 so it’s not a recent development. lol
No Problem, I just thought I can help.

Not everybody knows about the 2x FDA approved treatments.

Half the general populace thinks most hair treatments are "Snake Oil".

But granted alot of them are, but there are some legit ones.

The ST:TMP Wrist Communicator wasn't a bad idea, but it's execution was "Of it's time".

Given IRL Wearable Smart Watches are a popular thing to some degree, the concept of Wrist Watch simple computers for controlling simple devices could be used in future Trek productions.

Along with a seperate simple watch to keep track of Ship-Board time.

I feel like the Bajorans in DS9 and TNG came off as terrorists / radicals, and I really wish that Dukat was reformed and became some kind of hero at the end of the show instead of going bonkers insane.
