What are you doing at this moment?

On my way to Costco shopping, I stopped by the office of my local House of Representative. I need the Rep's office to check my VA health care status. I signed up for VA health care because of the Pact Act in July 2024, due to exposure to ionizing radiation in 1979 from a cleanup of primary coolant that I was volunteered for. After I tried to sign up in July, the VA sent me a letter that said I was denied coverage, due to too much income. Then I get a letter in late January saying I was covered by VA health care that met the requirements of the ACA for the months of August through December. I asked them to check and if I do have coverage, could they get me a VA medical card. Also, not all of my medals are on my DD-214, I brought a copy of my personnel evaluation the showed I was awarded the Navy/Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal, and to see if I could get a revised copy of my DD-214, that shows the award. I may never need to use the VA health care, but will use it as a back-up if the unelected DOGE bags determine that Medicare is waste and decide to gut it.

Trimmed some more on a fruitless mulberry tree between the garage and barn. Doing a load of laundry. I also found out from my Congressional Representative's local office on Tuesday, that I do have service related (due to hazardous material exposure) VA health care in addition to Medicare, and drove 80 miles to the VA hospital on Thursday to get an ID card photo. The medical card should arrive in 7 to 10 days. The whole process at the VA hospital took less than 5 minutes.

Watching the launch scene from Armageddon. Again. For about the second or third time today.

Why? Because I can.

Since yesterday, I'm sick in bed, got a really nasty cough and moderate fever. I've been mostly sleeping or watching "The X-Files", which is comfort food for the soul. The codein drops helped with the cough and added to the sleepiness.

After 25 hrs of overtime work in the past three weeks, I think my body just needed this time out. Already feel a bit better than yesterday.

Finally got a copy of Doctor Who series one.

Not fond of the word Whoniverse. it sounds like something someone in marketing made up. It's stupid

Watched the Christmas special and first episode and I like the new Doctor it's just the rest of it I'm not sure about

Bought a bag of Starburst. Have been eating them at random, just sticking my hand in and eating whatever comes out. By coincidence, I ate all the red and pink ones already, now it's mostly orange with a few yellow.

Like the ad says "taste the rainbow" you darn ate the whole rainbow almost :)
