I'm assuming with the X-Men, they'll probably give us at least a few of the big names like Cyclops, Wolverine, and Storm, but it would be nice to get some characters we haven't gotten as often mixed in there too.

I agree. They need to especially hold off on Wolverine until the second movie. I would do the same with Magneto. First movie IMO should be

Professor X
Cyclops
Storm
Kitty Pryde
Jean Grey
Beast
Illyana Rasputin
Maggott

With Mister Sinister as the main villain.

Since Illyana is Piotr's little sister, I would think it would make more sense to introduce him first, or introduce them together.
I do agree with taking a break from Magneto as the villain and finally bringing in Sinister. We got a enough of Magneto in the FoX-Men movies.

And thankfully, they'll have more material to work with to make Cyclops a dynamic character.

When the first X-Movies were made, he hadn't been an important or relevant character in like 15 years in the comics (and his terrible portrayal in the original 90s show made it worse). By the mid 2000s new writers came onboard who reinvigorated his character and made him way more important.

So the MCU will have more to work with.

Brave New World gives us an idea of when Thunderbolts* takes places in relation to each other:

Bucky's cameo happens during his campaign run for Congress, an experience that he doesn't seemed all that thrilled to be doing (which makes me think he's only doing it because of Val...).

The most recent trailer shows that he's wearing his congressional pin (something I missed but I've since seen articles mentioning it), placing Thunderbolts* some time after Brave New World, nixing any possibility of the two films occurring concurrently.

Not sure if an 100 year old amnesiac, brainwashed, super-soldier assassin is the best is choice for Congress. ;)

Formerly Brain-Washed Ex-Assassin.
He's been cleared of his past crimes by Captain America & Pardoned by the US Government for what Hydra did to him.

He wouldn't be able to run for Congress if he was still a Brain-Washed Assassin.

Also, he's the youngest looking 110 y/o Congress-man

Charlie Cox says he would love Daredevil to be in ‘AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY’ or ‘AVENGERS: SECRET WARS’“I have become a geeky fan of the character & I weirdly, for the character’s sake, feel like it’d be really cool to get that kind of upgrade”

I'm trying to decide whether or not to watch Daredevil: Born Again whilst also simultaneously continuing to work my way through the rest of the earlier installments in the The Defenders Saga, or wait to watch D:BA until I inevitably get to it organically and sequentially.

Thoughts, opinions, comments, etc.?

If you're already in the process of going through the original shows, then I would do it sequentially. Speaking for myself, I would also include at the very least the final episode of Hawkeye and Echo*, but probably wouldn't feel the need to revisit No Way Home or She-Hulk (and that isn't a knock against either of those productions). The only disadvantage to that is that you would not be able to participate in the chats here as they happen.

*Although everything you need to know from Hawkeye is recapped in the first 20 minutes of Echo.

If I don't watch Born Again LIVE, it is realistically more than likely going to be at least another year or more before I get to it due to the way I choose to watch TV shows, but if I go back and forth between it and the earlier TDS series, I would get the benefit of not having to wait while also maintaining the trajectory I'm currently on; plus, I could also rewatch it when I get to it sequentially (or before Season 2 premieres, whichever happens first) .

The only thing I'm slightly worried about is lacking a deeper context for the events of Born Again in the absence of having seen Daredevil Season 3, Hawkeye, and Echo, which is why I'm currently undecided on what I want to do.

You could likely enjoy Born Again simply having the context of the Echo post credit scene.

My best guess (and that’s all it is) is that Born Again will be designed so that new viewers can pick up without having seen the original show. There may well be Easter eggs or nods that long-term viewers will get (but as I personally haven’t watched DD in a few years, I’d be surprised if I get many of them). Depends on how much of a completist one is, I guess.

Watch everything except Jessica Jones,Luke Cage and Iron Fist before watching Daredevil:Born Again. I mean you should still watch those shows but their is nothing in them that really impacts Daredevil so I don't think it would impact anything. So you can sort of wait on them.

Marvel exec Brad Winderbaum reveals they are exploring bringing back more of The Defenders characters into the MCU.“I can't say much, but I'll tell you that it's so exciting to be able to play in that sandbox”
