The unnecessary reboot/remake of the week thread

Victorious is being revived. At this rate, we should be getting announcements for The Secret World of Alex Mack and Space Cases any day now.

Legendary and Hasbro are trying to turn Magic: The Gathering into a live-action TV and movie universe.

Ethan Hawke must have enjoyed his time on the Magnificent Seven remake, as he’s developing a remake of The Gunfighter

Ashton James and Blair Underwood will star in the Youngblood remake. Such a generic sports plot too. Is Youngblood that big of a movie title that they need to use that name instead of just calling it something else?

I'm making a movie about two cops forced to partner up for a case. They hate each other at first but then learn to become best buddies. I think I'll call it Lethal Tango Heat Rush.

I guess that leaves the Billy Crystal, Gregory Hines movie Running Scared out of the equation.

Apologies, I've forgotten to check this thread for several weeks, but I needed to reply to these posts:

David Leitch supposedly in talks to direct Ocean's 14.
Unless they're going to bring together the surviving members of the Clooney cast (Bernie Mac died way too young, and Carl Reiner is missed) Avengers-style with the cast of the Sandra Bullock film, I'm not sure I want to see this.

On another plane of existence, the ghost of J. Edgar Hoover just developed an ethereal boner under his spectral evening gown.

Supposedly, Madison Wolfe and Lexi Minetree are the finalists to star in Legally Blonde Origins: Wolverine.

What's the point of a prequel if she's vapid, superficial and lacking in self awareness who doesn't turn things around until the first movie? Is she gonna turn things around, get hit in the head, and then have to start over again?

Not to the mention the fact that, in the original, she only went to law school on, basically, a whim. Before that, she was studying (IIRC) marketing.

MGM+ .... They're still creating original content for this? It's got to be bleeding money .... is making their own Robin Hood TV series. But the real news here is that Sean Bean is the Sheriff of Nottingham.

For Apple's Cape Fear remake as a TV series, Javier Bardem is the villain and Amy Adams is the wife. The husband has yet to be announced.
