Given Philly's posting history, I imagine that you have hit upon his problem right on the head right here.
One of those types, eh?I wonder what it is that Kevin Feige and Terry Matalas possess that Chloe Zhao doesn't that has Philly so upset?

I got bad news for you if you don't know what a Buffy the Vampire Slayer show would be about after 10-12 seasons of the two shows. The reason we have doubts is because they've got an indie darling director who made the Eternals.
According to sources, the reboot would have its star, Gellar, attached but would be centered around a younger slayer.
According to the EW story, she's only said that she's "open to appearing", so it sounds like even if it's done, it's not guaranteed she'll be on it.

By the way, even if the pilot episode is approved, SMG may not be happy with the project and may leave at the end of the first season or may cause it to be cancelled. He has done this before in some of his post-Buffy projects. Even if Hulu approves, he may say he doesn't want to play. He may leave the project after the pilot episode or may cancel it himself. But if he is not going to be the lead actor, the best case scenario is that he may not be happy with the series and the cast may leave at the end of the first season.
I didn't mention it as a man there anyway. It might be a translation error. If you're talking about Sarah Michelle Gellar, you mean she/her, not he/his. I guess this is a translation issue from Turkish?
Holy Crap, the end of the article mentions an audible original audiobook/audio drama called Slayers, which has James Marsters, Charisma Carpenter, James Charles Leary, Anthony Head, Juliet Landau, Danny Strong, Emma Claufield (Ford), and Amber Benson all back. It's set 10 years after the end of the series and features a new Slayer and Spike working with a alternate universe Cordy from a world where she was the Slayer, and the baddie is her universe's Drusila.

You noticed that none of these actors were fooled, right? They just went back to the roles they played in the past thinking they would continue with a good project. Some of them had to go back to popular TV series and roles because none of the other TV series or movies they played after that role worked. For example: Michael C. Hall and the TV series Dexter.SMG sounds exactly like every actor who's coaxed and flattered and bribed into reviving an old role.

And for their trouble we got Picard and the Frasier reboot. Also the new Murphy Brown. You noticed that none of these actors were fooled, right? They just went back to the roles they played in the past thinking they would continue with a good project.
