Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

I watch a movie with unrelenting violence, sexual sadism, grotesque examples of humanity's dark side, awful accents, and I can't help but think 'Wow, can I see this all again but in 4K???'! It's really something, the human mind. And the wait for one of those boutique labels to just release the films they meant to release a year ago. It's awful to be impatient, but when it comes to this probably being the only chance this kind of ravenous filth gets released in such high quality, I can't help myself but be drawn into it.

^two weeks ago, I started to see the first chocolate Easter eggs in my local supermarket. (Like, really? Easter is 20th of April this year)

Two weeks ago? Round here the first eggs were out immediately after Christmas. Last year, one shop had them out BEFORE Christmas filling in for what appeared to be stock shortages

Well, as I said I started to see them.

Being mostly absorbed in my own thoughts, it's not even that unlikely they'd already been there for quite some time before I noticed them ;)

The shops are full of Valentine's tat but I can't decide whether the supermarket that had a sign "get them what they love" over a display of potatoes and onions is trying too hard or not hard enough!
Not hard enough.

Potatoes are amazing!

Valentine's is over in a little over a week. They're actually behind, based on my retail experience.

I hate it whenever I say "you know," but am I saying it because I'm so used to hearing 75% of the population say it repeatedly, sometimes multiple times in the same sentence?

I know why we say "you know," "um" and "uh," it's because we're talking faster than the thoughts we're trying to get out.

For some reason I always feel like the word "dilemma" is supposed to be spelled as "dilemna." But it's really not.

Next door's cat, a perfectly normally-sized grey tabby, has just chased an adult fox across the garden.
The fox probably came rocking up during feeding time at the cat household. Foxes in urban areas have been known to do this. They pretend they're cats.

Good idea but a) chasing in the wrong direction and b) cat is fed inside.

In practice, it's the other way round here - the cat turns up to see what's been put out for the fox (or what's left over the next morning).

I have seen a (different) cat "see off" a young fox who was just being curious.

Just been wrestling with Amazon customer services. Yesterday I got a refund for a product that hadn't turned up and for which the seller kept saying they would do something and then didn't. Today the product arrived.

I'd be happy to pay for the item but there doesn't seem to be a mechanism for doing that. So I have a free product but that seems a bit harsh on the seller who is guilty of failing to keep me up to date rather than anyting more nefarious.

That never happened to me.

I do recall searching for my glasses, only to find out after half an hour or so that I was wearing them the entire time.

I feel your pain. I had cataract surgery in November and December. I was without glasses until last Monday. I was just getting used to not wearing glasses after wearing them for about 64 years, and now I'm wearing my post-cataract glasses. Have to get used to wearing them again. I forget where I left them, mostly. But, I can see better now.

Watching my one of my favorite YouTube courtroom shows. Today's case is about a woman, with a long rap sheet and an even longer history of mental health issues. She is asking for probation. Her rambling excuses and spaced out behavior did not help her out.

And the inmate's name? I swear to God ...
Mrs. Nutter.
