Watching Section 31 to be the modern day version of flogging oneself likes those folks during the Crusades?

The silver lining here is that if this thing tanks as hard as the reviews suggest, no executive at CBS will ever greenlight a pitch containing the words "Section 31" again.

I've never got that.

As long as you have a partner you trust and feel comfortable with 100% and have discussed rules, limits and safe words in advance, than that can be quite the pleasurable experience. Though it's true it's not everyone's thing, and that's fine if it isn't yours.

The silver lining here is that if this thing tanks as hard as the reviews suggest, no executive at CBS will ever greenlight a pitch containing the words "Section 31" again.

It was a completely misguided idea even from the start when they pitched it as a series. Making SNW instead was clearly the better move.

I’m not against a movie centered on Section 31 or even an Emperor Georgiou story, providing that they take an interesting approach. By the sound of it, it seems the filmmakers were only resigned to doing a SUICIDE SQUAD kind of romp, which doesn’t sound appropriate for Trek.

At least Disco tried something interesting with Georgiou having to adapt in the prime universe. She was someone who was cruel because her reality demanded she either be that way or die. Spending time in the prime universe rubs off on her. She’s starting to feel more empathy, shows more mercy, because she’s now in a place where that isn’t considered a weakness. That makes her question whether she feels she has become weaker because of the Federation or not.

I don't understand why Hollywood still thinks this shit is okay.

Did we learn nothing from Fairhaven and Long Ladder.

The actor is South African so why not use his own underrepresented in Trek accent. Unless of course the idea was to play the accent for laughs.
