What are you watching???

Apple TV is free Saturday and Sunday (not sure about overseas) if there's anything you've been dying to watch or binge.

Last night was The Three Musketeers: D'artagnan, a 2023 French film which is part one of the story. Eva Green plays Milady. Period correct costumes and dirt but they added some things I found disconcerting.

Kind of sort of but not really watching mostly listening to Return of Swamp Thing on Plutotv right now. but since I have a backup controller I'm using for my Playstation 4 where the controller's analog stick is stiff and sort of screws things up I'm pretty sure it'll be moving the menu list on Plutotv by itself this late at night.

besides that, I'm busy watching Bad Boys 3 on Hulu and Bad Boys 4 on Netflix and the last couple episodes of Naruto Season 5

Squeezed in another The Vicar of Dibley on Brit Box. (Love her so much).

AND, Disk 1 of Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. (Oh, Aragorn how I love thee).

Coming up soon, my most favorite scene in any movie where Aragorn once again proves he is the leader of leaders.

its been years since I last watched the special extended edition DVDs for the Lord of the Rings movies. I should rewatch them all over again this month sometime for old times sake.

Meanwhile I'm busy catching up on Bad Boys 3 on Hulu and Caoraline on Tubi

An episode of From the Earth to the Moon: "Spider" (about the Apollo lunar module).

"This one is the Eagle...."

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood 2010 just got added on Netflix. Nice that they added that but I only remember the first original anime show that I used to watch a few times on Cartoon Network/Adult Swim on Saturday Nights years ago

The Vicar of Dibley Christmas Specials 2004 E1 on BritBox (The funniest so far…couldn’t stop laughing)

And, sadly, finished off our annual watch of Lord of the Rings movies
Disk 2 of The Return of the King -

Where Aragorn proves he is more than worthy of being the heir and becoming King of Gondor but also that he is more than worthy of running the whole frikkin’ universe.

He stands before the masses of evil at the black gate with Eye of Sauron glaring down on him and taunting him and he says “For Frodo” and launches himself toward those masses not even looking back to see if anyone follows him. But they all do.

He has just been crowned King and what does he say “This does not belong to one man, but to all”. Then after he is reunited with the love of his life and is walking along as King, he spots the hobbits and what
does he say “My friends, you bow to no one” and he himself bows to them. He does not look to see if any one else does, but everyone does it too.

In a time when ego and arrogance would have been expected, he has none and shows gratitude and humility; he leads by example. He’s my man, my leader and my King!

And sadly, thus it ends until another year of living with the darkness that is in this world.
