Fallout: The Television Series

I'm now 6 episodes into this series and it's gone from massively violent to massively weird. This whole Vault storyline has been the most interesting so far, and I'm enjoying the flashbacks with Cooper/The Ghoul and his wife working for Vault-Tec. I'm now through the episode where Lucy goes to level 12 seeing what kind of experiments Vault 4 was having and she was captured. Didn't think I would see a woman giving birth to fish who end up killing her and a devil worshipping ceremony like what you would see on The X Files. I have so many questions, like how is Moldaver still alive after 200 years, what the heck is going on in Vault 4, 32, and are we ever going to see Lucy's father again. I'd say for an 8 episode season, things are coming together nicely (And I'm liking the commentary on our world and don't think what the wife is doing was wrong, she was trying to protect her family from a Nuclear holocaust). Now the important question is can they stick the landing.

Oh, man. That was a wild ride. I cannot wait to hear what you think of the ending. It was a tight 8 episodes, and I think that Vault 4 was probably my one lesser interesting part. But, it definitely cranks forward so quickly in the next two episodes.

Some of that will be dealt with in the remaining episodes, but some is still left unresolved going into Season 2. Just thought I'd warn you so you don't get your hopes up about getting all of your answers.

That's fine. I hope it's a fulfilling ending. I'm assuming the show got renewed for Season 2 already.

Yeah, I was pretty happy with what was resolved, but it's still very open for Season 2 and beyond. Don't want to say to much more because I don't want to accidently stumble into spoiler territory.

Finished the season. That was very good even though I'm still confused about Moldaver and Ghoul surviving 200 years. Everything else though was really information overload, while setting up Season 2. I say they did stick the landing and I'm glad I watched it. The Robo Rumba (Bud's Brain) was funny.

Ghouls can survive because radiation heals them and keeps them roughly ageless.

Moldaver is still a good question.

Well either it's some mysterious process that she had access to, she's actually a ghoul but doesn't look like a ghoul, or, much like Hank and others, she' spent most of that 200 years in cryofreeze.

Oh, there are many, many, ways that the Fallout universe has offered up for people to live that long. However, at least thus far, it would be speculation. She was on the outs with Vault Tec, at least in the last flashback, so her being in Vault 31 would be odd, but not impossible. Also, given her antipathy towards Vault Tec her being in a vault would be odd. Though, the NCR was started by survivors from two Vaults joining forces so she might have managed to find her way in to one and use her knowledge to survive.

Or, she could have been a member of the Enclave and had access to military resources instead.

Originally when Norm walked into Vault 31, I thought that was where she and the father were. The whole Buds Brain robot thing was a twist I was happy with, because I didn't expect it at all.

Ghouls are basically immortal, though most become mindless after hundreds of years. Cooper has kept his mind via some kind of new medicine invented for the show.

As for Moldaver, she apparently found a cryogenics capsule (you see an Ad for one somewhere in the series) and froze herself. It's what happened to the protagonist of Fallout 4

I actually got to see Ella Purnell at MegaCon 2 weeks ago....5 hours in line to get her autograph and I couldn't even get the quote I wanted because her agent said she was in a hurry.

Could you please elaborate on your last sentence a little more?

She was at the Orlando MegaCon about 3 weeks ago but was only there on Saturday, which is already the busiest day of the Convention anyways meaning now it was MEGA busy.

I bought a poster that's a 1950s Prestige Western version of the Fallout TV show with her and Maximus and the Ghoul on it and I wanted her to sign it with "The end of the world was just the beginning" but by the time I got to her, her agent said "Oh I'm sorry, she can only write her name. She's got to be on a flight out of here by this evening".

So I only got her signature, not a quote with it
