Spoilers ST Lower Decks - Starships & Technology Season 5 Discussion

A Defiant in the next one (only the red part is off)?

Possible. They had their own ship designs, which were far more stealth-looking, compact and angular, not unlike this one. You might have something there.

Maybe they resurrected him via stored transporter patterns.

It would certainly track with S31’s propensity for actions through “ends justify the means” moral ambiguity.

It's purple. :)

My only real thought was that it was from a dimension where time was still back in the original run-ish of TNG (presumably somehwere between "Time's Arrow" and "Generations". I figured the reason the Purple-D didn't hang around was so as to not run into too much foreknowledge. There is of course no evidence around this, but without Purple Data's purple-tinged Ops uniform to prove anything, for all we know they were from a slightly more purple version of 2383 where the D was not destroyed in a violent, violet explosion over Veridian III and Data had similarly not tossed himself across a mauve nebula to stop Shinzon some years later.

Mark
Mark, what are your thoughts on the purple Enterprise–D?

So, a purple timeline that perhaps follows the timeline where Q didn't put them through the Anti-Time anomaly paradox of "All Good Things...". The USS Enterprise-D continues on. Perhaps no Dominion War depending on what happens with Bajor and the Wormhole. The Romulus problem should be starting, so purple Picard maybe be trying to get something going. Will Worf or Riker take the purple-Prise? Did Troi die in the purple timeline? Many purple questions.

It’s not on unprecedented in Trek for ships to meet that are from different universes and different times simultaneously. IMHO, it seems likelier that the purple Enterprise from the 2360s and just crossed over into the prime universe of the 2380s.

Why assume the PurplePrise is not from the purple universe 2380's
Imagine if in the Purple-verse that Dr. Tolian Soran didn't need a contrived complicated plot to enter "The Nexus".

That StarFleet managed to help him enter it w/o destroying any planets, or detonating any stars.

Then the Enterprise-D would've never been destroyed.

Dr. Soran would've gone into the Nexus w/o causing issues.

Then the PurplePrise would continue to live on.

All Dr. Soran needed to do was enter "The Nexus" cloud portion w/o touching the energy tendrils that eminate from the phenomena.

We have Super Highly Agile Landing Pod vessels like what we saw in the season premiere of ST: DISCO S2, that was in the 23rd century.

I'm sure StarFleet has more advanced versions of those "Landing Pod" vessels that they could've made and had Tolian Soran pilot into the phenomena w/o getting zapped by the energy tendrils.

It's a "Far Better" plan then standing on some rickety brdige and hope the phenomena flies into him w/o getting zapped.

At least with the "Landing Pod" vessel, he can pilot his way in and avoid those energy tendrils.
