Hey guys I was wondering how I could improve my Kelvin Timeline Galaxy class? For reference the scale is close to 830 meters. Improvements and recommendations are welcome

I'll leave this here for now, since there may be a few people in this forum who'd have some useful input for you.

Thinking, though, that this kind of thread might be a better bet in the Fan Art forum. That's where many of the modelers and people who do ship schematics / orthographic drawings can be found.

I'd add more of the cool Vengeance stuff, since size-wise they were similar. Drop bays under the saucer, for example.

And it needs nacelle foreskin like the Kelvinprise and the Protostar. And blue busssards. Blussards. I'd also move the bridge forward and put a big plaza in the center of the saucer like Into Darkness, but bigger and with trees and stuff, like a vertical garden.

I don’t think the phaser strip on the saucer would exist. The phasers would like how they were on the Kelvin, the Enterprise and the Vengeance.

The nacelles basically need to be a flattened version of the Constitution class. And with blue bussards.

The secondary drive would be influenced by the Vengeance, though the defector dish would take after the Enterprise.

Picture is not working for me but I imagine that the scale would be larger because of how tech moved in response to a 24th century intrusion.

It was an appropriate response to a huge intrusive Romulan ship. The response by Starfleet was to go bigger. A bigger Constitution class because the Romulans had some new weapon.

So such a response would likely impact scaling.
I thought it was just big, because JJ Abrams wanted like 30 shuttles in the shuttlebay, so they had to scale up the whole ship to Ent-D proportions?

I mean, I always took it in universe as a response to the Narada attack. Reasonably, Starfleet would analyze the Kelvin logs and determine how they could fight such a threat. Ships needed to be bigger, more capable, against a larger Romulan threat.

By history, the Romulan War was within living memory, since Stiles grandfather served, per Balance of Terror. So, this sudden increase in ship size and capability would be a huge tilt in the balance of power, at least from a Starfleet point of view.

So, scaling up is reasonable because that's what the enemy has done.

My approach to the Kelvin movies is mostly from a production POV. In-universe, too much doesn't make any sense. Who's Stiles?

In universe makes perfect sense. Production info is fine but I love looking at Kelvin Universe in universe. It's a great and imaginative place to be.

Stiles is from the episode I referred to in my post, Balance of Terror from The Original Series.

In universe makes perfect sense.
Why is the Enterprise shields always completely useless as if they never got turned on?
How is the Enterprise in orbit of Kronos and in the Neutral Zone at the same time?
How does the Enterprise warp home from Kronos to Earth in like 5 minutes?
How does the Enterprise warp to Vulcan from Earth just minutes behind schedule only to find the entire fleet completely destroyed, but the Enterprise is totally fine?
Why does the Admiral Marcus shoot the Enterprise out of warp when they've already reached Earth?
Why does the Enterprise have side-mounted torpedo launchers like it's an old wooden sailing ship?

Don't get me wrong, I love these movies, all 3. I just don't like how they portray starships, but I do like the characters and stories.

Oh, I probably haven't seen that in 10+ years maybe. That has Romulans in it?

Higher yield weapons.

It isn't.

It doesn't.

One, they left later than the rest of the fleet. Two, we don't know how long the delay is between Kirk going unconscious and Chekhov's announcement.
Why does the Admiral Marcus shoot the Enterprise out of warp when they've already reached Earth?
To keep up the facade of Enterprise as a rogue element.
Why does the Enterprise have side-mounted torpedo launchers like it's an old wooden sailing ship?
Why not? Space is 3d and requires multiple points of defense.

First appearance of Romulans. Gives us the history of the Earth Romulan War.

The timeline has been radically altered in 2233, over a hundred years before the Galaxy-class will exist. Most likely, it will never exist in the Kelvin timeline.
A) This response has nothing to do with the request of the person who posted it.
B) This thread had been inactive for more than 10 months. Please don't resurrect old threads if you're not even going to bother to address the topic.

Who's Stiles?
You know, you could easily have Googled that and already had the answer.

You have exhibited a habit of expecting others to do your basic homework for you. Please don't do that.
