I once saw a TV Guide description of a movie along the lines of “After accidentally killing a stranger, a young woman joins up with several strange individuals to commit another murder.” The film was The Wizard of Oz.

Spock got horny, threw some soup, got denied and then ordered by a Vulcan diplomat, judge, and philosopher, and the Vulcan woman he was supposed to marry to fight Dr. McCoy. Spock got duped by a ruse fake death of the Good Doctor, lost his desire, and showed emotion at the end.

Would it be fair to describe the show as such?
S1: the cerebral season.
S2: the action season.
S3 the campy season.
You could say those were the dominant adjectives. There is action-overlap inherited from Year One, to be sure.
