He'd have handled them the exact same way the Jeffrey Hunter version did as Disco established The Cage happened exactly as we saw it. They even used footage from The Cage to make that clear.I would love to see how Anson Mount version of Pike handles the Talosians.
The same according to "If Memory Serves"Would a remake of the Cage work? I would love to see how Anson Mount version of Pike handles the Talosians.
While this was one of my favorite episodes of DSC I fully agree with your assessment here. Loved the atmospherics and sound design of the ep, loved Melissa George as Vina, but the Talosians themselves didn't do much for me.The one thing that annoyed me about the depiction of the Talosians (and specifically the Keeper) in DSC was that the producers seemed to have no idea of Roddenberry's genius decision to use female actors for the Keeper and the other Talosians, yet give them male voices, to accentuate the Talosians' alienness. The DSC Keeper is just some guy with a prosthetic head that looks little like the original version.
My first thought on first view as well. They looked more like the Vians
Someone sent the make-up department the wrong file.My first thought on first view as well.
They looked more like the Vians
Not on THIS world. Or in it....No more remakes please, write new stories.

Now that I'm seeing the comparison, I think they did better with the prosthetics than I originally thought. But it's still annoying that it went completely over their heads to cast a woman as the Keeper.
I don't know. The original post claims that they want to see how Anson Mount handles the Talosians, but if it's a remake then he'll handle them the same way Jeffrey Hunter did as it'll be the same script.I'm confused. Since SNW takes place years after "The Cage," why would they need to remake it?
She didn't serve on the Enterprise until after the Klingon War as the Enterprise sat out the war, while she's considered a war hero and saw combat.have they ever ruled out Ortegas being on the Enterprise before SNW?
