Section 31 and the Enterprise-C

Goddammit.....

I wonder if Garrett is being held back because she is wearing that thingy Starfleet officers wore in those Star Trek films? :adore:

Also, it seems Georgiou will be set up as already being quite comfortable with 2230s life. Very comfortable, in fact!

So she couldn't go back to the Mirror Universe. I assume that means she's going to eventually die from her "Being in the Wrong Universe" Syndrome. Interesting we don't any sign of the disease in the trailer.

I didn't see the episode, but I did see the clip explaining. She couldn't say in the 32nd century, because the prime-verse and mirror-verse drifted apart, whatever that means, which is honestly stupid. Anyway, the idea was that she could be in the mirror universe or the distant future, but she can't be in both. In the 2330's, she'll be fine.

Could she close enough to her own time period that she can survive? I can't quite remember the specifics but I had the impression that it's all about proximity to your proper location. 900 years plus one universe across, is deadly, but 60 years is survivable?

She's fine as long as she's not too far away from her own time, just like the Disco crew are fine in the distant future as long as they're in their same universe. It's only the combination of the two that'll kill you.

We won't see that in the "trading card" they'll hopefully release tonight. It'll be the same promotional image we saw a few weeks back. It's the write-up that interest me.

Honestly, if the idea that Rachell Garrett was once upon a time a space spy before Captain of the Enterprise-C, that's kind of cool.

I'm thinking she's less a spy and more the liason officer between the rag-tag Section 31 team, and regular Starfleet. She's the only one who seems to be wearing anything that looks "official." That, and she seems to be carrying a pretty standard looking Type-II Phaser.

Kind of like a Starfleet wrangler, the Amanda Waller of Section 31?
