It's definitely a remake. But Riley and Turner are serving as executive producers on the US version. It's a pity that non-American shows have to be remade for American folks, as an American version of Underbelly would never work.
Great after the apocolypse, future generations will find Heroes and discover that we watched crap in our day.
I though I read a few episodes, but have not heard any thing for sure either. Same here I was sad when I saw that Life moved to Friday, normally a death slot. Hopefully Life can survive that time slot, since it is such a great show.
Personally I find Australian accents unpleasant to have to endure but it's not like I'd watch either version of that show. Sounds like a dumb comedy, and that's not what I look for in a show.
He was supposed to return for only a few episodes this season, but the producers have been reported to have asked him to remain with the series since they don't have a lead for next season (Goran Visnjic left the series).
Hopefully all of the Office characters will stay on The Office and the spinoff will be a similar documentary type of show set in some other industry.
Cinema Blend apparently has had reports that this spinoff will not feature any of the regular cast of The Office. Meanwhile, E! Online reports that, while this spinoff may have been given a greenlight, it does not have a premise.
A good slot for Knight Rider though I cannot believe NBC gave Lipstick Jungle another season but will pay the price in poor ratings next year. SNL Thursday Night Live is WTF and Life will struggle in the owrst TV slot possible though Deal or No Deal will help (why was DoND not given that slot this year). NBC looks a little stronger next year overall but the monday 10pm slot will still be a curse.
WTF? I assumed they were just burning off excess episodes of Lipstick Jungle. Didn't realise that they were new. Journeyman cancelled, Lipstick Jungle renewed? WTF?!
As much as I'm looking forward to Merlin, I wish it would be airing on BBCA like Torchwood and Robin Hood. When NBC airs the show they will probably cut portions to add extra commercials.
Or Bionic Woman. Both BW & Journeyman had higher ratings than Lipstick Jungle if memory serves. Though since it was based on a successful book by the creator of Sex & the City they may have signed a contract for a limited number of seasons when they came up with the idea.
With muppets like that in charge of TV networks, it's small wonder that half decent shows end up getting canned whilst rubbish ones survive.....
And yet the Merlin that NBC will be airing is the BBC production featuring Anthony Stewart Head as Uther Pendragon, so apparently NBC did import.
I'll watch Chuck, Heroes, Life and Last Comic Standing for sure. I'll have to see what Crusoe, Shark Taggers, The Listener, and The Chopping Block are all about. Otherwise the rest is crap.
Medium is being pushed to Sunday nights? Those silly executives need to be horsewhipped in the town square for the foul treatment they continue to pour onto this amazing show. And considering the more than decent ratings it pulls in (despite the fact it is up against the ratings behemoth CSI: Curuso), I am almost inclined to believe some suit is having their stroke in installments. But I have been completely baffled by their programing decisions for almost five years now. Things don't seem to be getting any better either.
