Yes its confirmed and they swear it'll be the SERIES FINALE year. For a show its age and with its cast, no top dollar people, it still does well in the ratings. Frankly I'm surprised they are actually planning to drop it next year. It seems they are doing so "just to do so".
you know what I find interesting is the Merlin project they have on there books, its the same one as the one the BBC are making, does that make it an import, or a co production, cos im pretty sure its a BBC Production
Don't care about anything on there. The only show on their entire schedule I watch is Heroes, and I watch that on DVD - I can't be bothered with all the schedule changes and hiatus breaks. I like to watch that show quickly, while the adrenaline is pumping.
That schedule doesn't do anything for me. I'll just stick with Heroes and of course Sunday Night Football. I may see Knight rider but I need to see the hype for it first.
Just wanted to add: Friday Night Lights will start on DirectTV - not NBC (similar to what they did with L&O CI this year).
From what I've been able to determine, it's solely a BBC production, so it would appear NBC decided to import it (possibly due to the strike?).
My first reaction to Life's move to Fridays at 10: CRAP! Then I thought about it. I can switch between DVRing it and Numb3rs and still be good to go.
That's true. However, what nx1701g said is also true. DirecTV runs a channel called "The 101" on which Friday Night Lights will be airing. This is the second show DirecTV has picked up: the first was the soap opera, Passions, canceled by NBC after its eighth season. The 101 also has some original programming. Since it's the only "in-house" channel they have, The 101 is often simply referred to as DirecTV.
Yeah, I noticed this as well. I wonder if it's a remake... I would imagine so, because I doubt Americans could handle anything Australian.
Other than shows I already follow (Chuck, Heroes, 30 Rock), not a whole lot to get excited about. I'll give Crusoe, The Listener and Kings a shot, and My Own Worst Enemy just for Christian Slater. Here's hoping the other networks try a bit harder. Heroes will outlive us all.
