Can you name a fleet seen in Star Trek that doesn't meet that definition? All the DS9 fleets were the same five ships.
You are also ignoring the new ships that were designed for the show - the Stargazer, the Excelsior II and the Intrepid for example.
Honestly this feels like a baseless criticism. I had plenty of issues with PIC S2 and 3, the ships weren't one of them.
I suspect if it had been, you would instead be complaining that it was Terry throwing another "memberberry" at fans.
Hold up, there might have been some miscommunication. Regarding "copy and paste" fleet, regarding STO, I was just making a cheap joke. In the PIC S1 finale, it absolutely is the copy-and-paste fleet. LOL I was just joking that they did it again, by "copy and paste" from STO to PIC. Get it now? hah
I do love the new ships in Picard. The La Sirena, new Stargazer, Titan-A were all great ships. Wasn't everything else basically just a background ship? New Spacedock looked the same as the old one, just bigger with some greebly stuff slapped on,
I did not dislike any of the ship designs, to be perfectly honest. I actually cannot think of one I did not like. My only real issue was ships coming into almost-collision distance of each other. This has been an issue since the 2009 reboot film.
Just to be crystal clear, I'm not a "complainer." Picard is my favorite of the streaming-era series followed closely by Prodigy as my 2nd favorite.
My only real issues with the show:
#1 Why was Soji just kind of forgotten about after the S2 premiere?
#2 The actress got to take on a new character, so forgivable.
#3 Why are Seven and Raffi a couple in S2? No foreshadowing in S1, forgotten in S3.
#4 Why was Elnor killed off so early into S2? Everything after that was cameos. Lame.
#5 Where was Elnor, Laris, and Soji in S3?
#6 Ent-F should have been Ent-E.
#7 Ent-D saucer shouldn't have been salvageable, but nostalgia trumps realism here. LOL
#8 Titan-A should not have been renamed Ent-G.
I don't think I've ever watched a film or series and NOT had criticisms, it's just how I take in film and series.
