PU Spock

Ronald Held

Vice Admiral
Admiral
We know he died in the Kelvin universe. Should we presume his remains are on new Vulcan? Anything canonical as to whether his katra was saved?

There is nothing canonical about where his katra was saved since the movies never mentioned it. You will have to wait for the next movie reboot on February 30th 2025.

I would assume the katra probably died with Spock, as I doubt there's anyone he would trust with all that future knowledge, even if it is from another timeline.

I assume they had constructed a new Katric Ark at some point and that's where he ended up.

That is an excellent point. However, it still could be, that he transfered his katra to the vre'katra when he sensed death was near.

We don't know how many friends Spock Prime may have had. It's entirely possible that there was someone available who received his katra and carried it to a place where it could be preserved. There's no reason to automatically assume Spock's katra was lost.

Given the obvious importance of the katra to Vulcans and their culture, I can only assume that New Vulcan has its own version of the Hall of Ancient Thought....surely, after the destruction of the homeworld, and the loss of uncountable millions of katras, New Vulcan would take steps to make sure this could never happen again.
