Things that frustrate us all

Wallgreens was so bad with filling my medications. They never had them filled when their automated system said that were going to be ready, I even padded the time they told me by 10 hours. I switched all my long term meds that don't require refrigeration and get them out of the mail box. Those that do require special temperature requirements I have filled at a local pharmacy that sends me a text when they are ready to be picked up.

I am lucky that I can have them delivered for me .I get that because I don't have a car but that's not a requirement. Maybe you can switch to a pharmacy that does?

I can't tell you how often I have lost my temper with those damned recorded voices. (I have, on many occasions, ended up yelling at the machine, "Put on a human!") You can't even press 0 anymore to bypass those machines for almost every place now.

I have gotten that so many times on automated services. they are like "Sorry I did not understand that" I used to have an old trick. I would press a bunch of buttons at random so it would take me to a representative. It worked for years. It no longer does I just get "goodbye" like you. I used to hate it then I preferred now I hate it again. Most of them have gone to crap at the same time for some reason. I've gone back to paper billing mostly. I have to write them now for some other stuff, and they responded, and it actually worked... I was so shocked, lol. Time warp!

My health annoys me, I've been sick a lot either due my irritable bowel syndrome or my back. This week it's because I have a cold, and it looks like I might get fired.

On one hand I'm relieved because I hate my job, on the other hand finding my current job was hard and filled with years of internships and disappointments.

I'm grateful I have some money saved from my tax returns and my down-payment from my previous appartement, because I'm going to need it

Thanks for the idea, but this is an itty bitty town and there isn't much choice. This is an independent pharmacy and the only other choices are Walgreens and CVS. I've tried them both and they are crap. The wait hasn't been this bad before, plus my pills weren't necessary for a week or so. I didn't go inside because the tiny parking lot was pretty full, so I thought with only 2 cars ahead of me, I'd take a chance. Sigh....

I had two tired children in the back of my car one time. Figured two cars in front not a big deal. Drive up, hit the button and wait ten more minutes. Finally I have to move because kids are cranky so end up inside anyway. I was quicker going inside because they were just commenting how a car had just pulled away and their pharmacy "wasn't a McDonald's."

Fortunately my local CVS has a 24-hour pharmacy, so I usually pick up my prescriptions during slow hours when there's no line at the pharmacy counter. Now I've got to call Medicare to find out why the price of one of my prescriptions (Jardiance for diabetes) suddenly jumped from $47 to $150.

@ The Freeway Ghost,

I am so sorry about the price jump. This country is terrible. Thet don't care about people but the bottom line. Can you get a 'Good RX Card'? It's a discount card. It used to save me before I got better insurance. They even had it at the pharmacy to give it away. Thats where I got it.

On subject of Pharmacies. The one I use delivers my medications to my home as a courtesy to it's customers. It's a mom and pop pharmacy.

Having about 22 fire ant bites on my legs and feet. Waaaay worse than mosquito bites.

Fucking hell. :scream:
You might try 1 percent over the counter Hydrocortisone cream. If you have a Costco membership, they sell it in a three pack. The bad thing about fire ants, they wait until they are all over you and then sting at the same time.

Someone stole a cat from a neighbor’s front yard. 🤬
I have people from town dumping cats in the country near my place. I have a feral cat colony living in my barn. If anyone wants a cat, they are welcome to all they can catch. The cats have access to shelter, dry food and water here, as well as all the mice, rats, ground squirrels and gophers they can trap.
