Superman

I can't help but wonder if he had still been around if we would have seen Christopher Reeve in Supergirl the TV series not the movie. Afterall we got a ton of legacy actors all over it, and Reeve did do Smallville, so we know both parties were open to that kind legacy casting.

Steve Lombard?

Got the Kirk Alyn serials on DVD and we're watching it for breakfast. Noel looks like she's have a lot of fun shooting this - she seemed more serious in the Reeves series. I'm not loving the very obvious transition to cartoon animation for the flying scenes - my wife laughs at it. Otherwise it's a lot of fun, and I can see elements that were paid tribute in the Chris Reeve movie and elsewhere.

Weird that they used an aged head shot of Welling for their fake Superman image, considering he had given up Supermanning by the time he looked like that.

Although come to think of it, they never did make an excuse for why he had aged so noticeably in just two years of in-universe time. Giving up your powers is a bitch, I guess. ;)

Did they say it was only two years? Can't remember that, but it's been close to five years since the Arrowverse CoIE. Wow! Why would they say that? I mean, yeah, I get why they didn't put him in the suit, why they wanted him on the farm, but why wouldn't they say he stopped being Superman after, say, ten years? Which was closer to how long it had actually been since the SV finale.

The last scene of Smallville is set seven years after the rest, so we last see Clark and Lois in 2018, and then Crisis was in 2020.

...unless there was something in Crisis about also being set further in the future. My apologies if they did. :)
