If I remember correctly, it was Zaszlav who wanted one unified universe over all DC media (outside of comics, because who reads comics anyway), and it was Gunn & Safran who proposed the Elseworlds label as a way to give other DC media outside of that universe a chance.

Okay, then. Still, it seems that some change must've been mandated to the direct-to-video movies, given how prematurely they cut the "Tomorrowverse" short with this Crisis adaptation. So there's no telling what their future plans are. Following Crisis with Watchmen makes me wonder if they just plan to stick with direct adaptations of past comics, rather than building an ongoing universe again.

Hmm, I don't see anything in there with him saying it was bad per se, just that it was fun but it's no big deal to him and he's more sympathetic for everybody that does feel badly (and whose careers were affected by it).

She did some directing in Flash, perhaps she's moving in that direction rather than face the women of a certain age roadblock for actors.

It’s always a double edged sword with these things. She could have been worse off if she didn’t accept the Flash role.

It definitely sounds like it wasn't something he was super passionate about. Not that that's a problem, sometimes a job is just a job, even for an actor.

Well as others have said it only just ended last year so maybe some of them are taking a break, the fan reaction on places like https://www.reddit.com/r/FlashTV/ people there are saying her career is dead so I don't think I shall take any of that at face value.
