So video games could be whole universes themselves..

I recently watched the episode titled Extremis and it got me thinking. There is a line in the episode where the Doctor explains to everyone that video game characters actually feel pain, and I assume death when you shoot them.

Would this mean that video games themselves are actual separate universes separate from ours?

So in theory the Doctor could land the TARDIS in a video game. But how would that look to people outside of the game that were actually using it? Would they see or notice the TARDIS landing in their game?

Which game world could you see the Doctor landing in and what would you like to see them do?

I'd love to see their reactions to the world of Aloy and the horizon universe.

Why not? It's fiction about a crazy alien who travels in a phone box so why would this idea be too outlandish?

Dunno about Doctor Who, but a friend introduced some of the Star Trek characters into her Sims game. Spock opened a daycare for cats, Kirk flirts with everyone, Seven is a pool shark, and Janeway's not impressed with Kirk. Kirk and Spock get into pillow fights fairly frequently.

Since the Who universe is even more random than the Trek universe, I don't see why it couldn't be done in just about any game where random, weird things could happen.
