CBS starts negotiations for Enterprise Season 5.

In a surprising turn of events some cast members reveal that they have been contacted by CBS with questions of availability for filming a 5th season of Enterprise. Negotiations started in November of 2007 and somehow all parties managed to keep it under wraps until the story leaked on April 1, 2008.

I would say that the combination of season 2 and the WB network prepared us for anything.

In a few years it'll be too late to do an enterprise continuation and show the Romulan War or anything pre-2161 and I doubt it'll ever happen.
