Well I found this ..... Taking it with huge grain of salt, in fact the whole container

The Skydance deal is pretty much a lock. Is there something else in the video other than speculation on what will happen afterwards?

I'm starting to cancel some of my streaming services, or at least put them on hold. Unless Paramount is offering a nice deal like last year, I'm not going to renew until Lower Decks comes and I will only pay monthly. I also have ESPN+ for Hockey and I'm not in any rush to renew yet. I'm not sure if I even will renew considering I don't like the NHL passing off it's streaming of content to ESPN.

As expected, the culling has begun. Paramount Television Studios is being shut down, laying off 15% of Paramount's U.S. workforce (that's in addition to the 800 that have already lost their jobs).
The end of Paramount Television

This really won't impact current and impending Star Trek shows at all as they will continue under the CBS Studios brand as they've been doing, but it is the end of an era (no more TV shows with the Paramount mountain in the closing credits).

Aren't they shifting some PTS productions to CBS Studios? Makes sense to eliminated redundancies.

If eliminating redundancies means eliminating jobs, yes. All current (or rather former) Paramount Television shows will be moved to CBS Studios as the parent company, Paramount Global, is strapped for cash.

I am afraid that Paramount will become like MGM. Although Paramount is a larger company in terms of volume than MGM. And from what I understand from the accounts I follow on Twitter, I think Paramount Pictures may have approached or exceeded 1 billion in total this year both domestically and internationally. But they also failed with too many high-budget films.

An account on Reddit that makes 2025 box office predictions wrote that according to their own information, the new umbrella company that will be established with the Skydance merger will examine Paramount Pictures' films with a budget of over 70 million dollars. If what he says is true, this film probably does not deserve this budget. They will say let's reduce the budget or cancel the project or withdraw the project. My guess is that the Transformers films are as big as the new Star Trek films that are planned to come out. I think they will all have films with a budget of 100 million dollars or slightly above. And I think they'll keep the budgets at this level and aim to make between $400 and $500 million at the box office, just like the Sonic movies.
