Ah, fair enough. Reacted before reading the subsequent commentsAs Joe said, the story about the venture capital firm was apparently a hoax.

The Skydance deal is pretty much a lock. Is there something else in the video other than speculation on what will happen afterwards?Well I found this ..... Taking it with huge grain of salt, in fact the whole container

Maybe catch up on the thread?I thought it wasn't in the bag
It is moving forward, and is going to undergo federal review. So...pretty close to being in the bag.I thought it wasn't in the bag

Aren't they shifting some PTS productions to CBS Studios? Makes sense to eliminated redundancies. As expected, the culling has begun. Paramount Television Studios is being shut down, laying off 15% of Paramount's U.S. workforce (that's in addition to the 800 that have already lost their jobs).
The end of Paramount Television
This really won't impact current and impending Star Trek shows at all as they will continue under the CBS Studios brand as they've been doing, but it is the end of an era (no more TV shows with the Paramount mountain in the closing credits).
If eliminating redundancies means eliminating jobs, yes. All current (or rather former) Paramount Television shows will be moved to CBS Studios as the parent company, Paramount Global, is strapped for cash.Aren't they shifting some PTS productions to CBS Studios? Makes sense to eliminated redundancies.

Their profits were extremely low and austerity measures mean a lot are on the table. So I would say more unlikely but still possible.Dumb question maybe... but can CBS Studios also collapse? Or is that unlikely?

What I'm talking about here is purely box office.I think Paramount Pictures may have approached or exceeded 1 billion in total this year both domestically and internationally.
I agree. I also think Hasbro should give back the license for the movie, or Amazon should give back the license and have Hasbro produce the series.Oh please no more transformers movies
