What are you watching???

watched some YouTube stuff from gamerant, whattoplay, gaming bolt and later today Hack the Movies' review of Tarantino's movie Resevoir Dogs

The movie Apollo 13.

It almost boggles the mind that this movie is 30 years old now. It's been longer since that movie was made, than it was between it and the actual Apollo 13 disaster.

That's a fairly regular rewatch to me, but it doesn't feel like it's that long since I first saw it. Time flies I guess:(

For me, the finale of House of the Dragon, season two.

I also think it's pretty cool that a lot of the actors from that film appear in From the Earth to the Moon, a miniseries that came out just three years later. Some even play the same characters!

And for the record, I try to watch an episode of FTETTM every day. That's how much I love it.

Now it has been a few years since I've seen that, though I know where my dvd set it. Probably time for a rewatch of that too:)

From the Earth to the Moon was always awesome, but it looks even better now that it's been remastered for HD. They had to re-do all the effects from scratch.

And it still kills me: The lunar module, which appears in almost every episode? IT'S A REAL ONE. It would have gone into space on Apollo 18.

Currently watching the FX miniseries "Under the Banner of Heaven". A surprisingly gripping thriller, with a scary view into the parallel universe of the LDS church, imo. Not sure I could enjoy it as much if (more or less) Christian fanatics were a relevant factor over here.

trying to continue binge watching the Ms Marvel show and to watch the Captain Marvels movie. Last year I tried to get into the Ms Marvel show but its not my thing for live action Marvel Comics stuff since Avengers Endgame and Spider-Man No Way Home and Dr Strange 2 were my final stuff to enjoy.

I guess because the Ms Marvel show and the Marvels movie is catered more towards young teen girls along with the whole girl power and forced upon us the whole Indiua culture and Muslim junk iun the Ms Marvel show that turned me off last year. that and Carol Danvers looks like a fool now because of the stupidity of the young gal Ms Marvel screwing things up in space etc

Yeah, no. It's fine that Ms. Marvel wasn't to your taste, but the character IS Pakistani and Muslim. That wasn't "forced upon us"; it's part of who she is. And I've seen The Marvels twice and didn't think Carol looked like a fool - she certainly made her own mistakes in not trying to help rebuild after taking out the Kree Supreme Intelligence, but she finally rectifies that.

One of the Jokes in this youtube above is that Carol could have saved the day better and faster all by her self, if she had just asked the other two to not help, sit it out and don't use your dang powers please.
