No, it's not an age thing. I think she'd be a lot more attractive if she allowed herself to age naturally.

Dolly Parton has that same look. A lot of other older actresses have had their surgeries catch up with them: Cher, Carol Burnett. They all have the appearance of being not quite normal looking.

It's those cheek implants that they get instead of a regular face lift. Women didn't used to get those cheek implants and now they do. It lifts the lower half of their faces, but their cheeks end up looking huge and unnatural, and the lower half of their faces don't move properly. Add in the botoxed forehead and collagen lips, and you've got surgery face.

I was reading in the paper the other day that the latest Hollywood craze is to have your plastic surgery reversed. Apparently i'ts called unsurgery, or something.

I would assume Raquel Welch (at age 68) has had some work done, and she looks great, or at least not like some alien as many of these people do. When I saw her, I wondered how it is that she managed to get good work done, and so many others look like hell.
