Things that frustrate us all

124 Safeway/Albertson's/QFC/Haggen stores are set to close or be sold off in Washington state if the merger between Kroger/Albertson's goes through. I'm going to lose the two Safeway's closest to me and my sister-in-law's store is going to close. So much for the competition.

That's insane. How this passed regulation is crazy to me.

My mother's stupidity continues: my mom is now convinced that one of the people interested in my apartment is going to get it because she's like: "maybe we can move on the same day and put both his and your stuff in the same moving van uwu."

While we DON'T have permission to seek candidates ourselves, and this is something the landlord will do. Also, who says they will be picked? My mom sends all the candidates info to my landlord but there's no guarantee he will pick the guy my mom wants. AND even if the guy my mom wants to be picked gets picked who says he wants to move on the same day? Or if all our stuff will fit in the same moving van? Or how our stuff won't be mixed up? Or if the moving company even does put stuff in the moving van from two places!

I don't know. The Washington State Attorney General and the Union representing Safeway/Albertson's workers sued to stop the merger claiming it would result in loss of jobs and competition and lost.
Crazy. Their market share would jump significantly, only dwarfed by Walmart/Sam's Club. Not even Costco would be as big.

UPS truck was literally parked out in front of my home, sorting through all the packages to be delivered to the neighborhood, then kept going without delivering my package. The tracking map even shows it going past me.

Speaking of UPS... I've noticed in the last year or so that UPS drivers tend to park in front of a house where they are NOT delivering a package. It's an odd thing... until you are trying to park into your own driveway, or when you are trying to drive out to go to work. Then it becomes a nuisance. (This has happened with greater frequency these last few weeks, both when I head to the office in the morning and during times when my wife has to visit one of her elderly clients.) And the drivers seem to take their time in getting out of the way, even after they are out of sight delivering packages 2 or 3 houses down the block.

Why can't you park in front of the house you are actually delivering packages to? Especially when the street is clear.

Mormons coming out to preach in the middle of the day. They parked on a restricted access Irrigation District canal bank road not open to the general public that my property is adjacent to and knocked on my door. I cracked the door open and asked if they had some kind of emergency and told them they could get water out of a hose on the side of the house if they needed it. They said they didn't need water and wanted to talk about the Book of Mormon. I said you aren't coming in and I'm not going outside. It is hard to keep the inside of the house cool when it is 114 degrees outside and I have a door open. I also have signage (one next to the door they knocked on) saying "No Trespassing, Keep Out."

Probably playing the same game as refuse collectors do. Think they must try and see how badly they can park in order to cause the most congestion.

The latch on the glovebox in my car got broken (bloody little plastic thingy). Now the blasted thing keeps falling open.
Also the limited number of options for paying my car insurance. Not everyone has,or wants to have a credit/debit card.:brickwall:

For the glovebox latch try some industrial grade velcro (pile on glove box door and dash, hook to keep both closed).
My homeowners policy uses my bank account & routing numbers and autopay, and I get a discount.
My car insurance doesn't discount for payment method but does if you pay the entire premium at one time. I use the credit card for the auto insurance because I get cash back and pay card off before the grace period to avoid interest payments.

Trying to get those fucking petitioners out of my store's parking lot is like playing Whack-A-Mole.

These people have precisely zero shame.

Samsung Internet Browser. It turns itself on, on its own. Not a virus, malware or spyware. Just all out annoying. :censored: Along with wasting data, let alone space on my phone.

I had two UPS trucks parked out front facing each other one time. The drivers just seemed to be chilling together for a while.

I only use cash when I have to.

I eat at my local bar four times a week, and they only take cash, the fuckers.

Really wish they'd wake up and join the :censored:ing 21st century.

I use cash because it's easier to stay on budget, I don't have to rely on a tech that might stop working, or another alert of a system hack.

I don't mind using my debit, but I'll still use cash as my preference.
