Forgotten weapons did an episode on the madson m-50 smg used by the Roman guards in this episode. I learned more about a smg then I thought I would ever know… Ian also speculates as to why they used it in the show. Definitely a very tech dive into the mechanism, if that’s your sort of thing.

I think they were neutral for tactical reasons, but strategically aligned with NATO. And now they're actually in NATO, due to the Ukraine war. I don't think Sweden was ever a pacifist country.
