Things that frustrate us all

I'm pretty sure I lost my money on an order of print-on-demand T-shirts that were promised to be delivered two weeks ago. The retailer's terms of service plainly state they won't refund you after the order was shipped, and I wasn't offered any tracking because the package is not heavy enough to be considered a parcel, so my national postal service won't track it; it's just perpetually stuck at "shipped" without giving any other information. I have no idea if the store screwed up, the post office lost my package, it's stuck at customs, it's stuck at the logistics center, or if they simply stopped delivering my mail because my name isn't on the mailbox (even though that has never been a problem before, considering the vast majority of apartments in my area are rentals). I can't even ask the post office about it because it's not legally my property until they confirm delivery, so I'd have to present the package notice they'd put in my mailbox to pick it up. I wouldn't have better luck with other POD retailers either because they also ship via post, so those could be lost just as well.

On another board, someone just blew up and went nuts, posting about gay agenda this and satanic homosexual propaganda that. His post got deleted by a mod and I suspect he's now going to claim he's being persecuted for his beliefs.

So, just another typical day on the Internet, then? ;)

Here’s a gripe — going to the store to pick up cough medicine, etc., then when you get back, finding out that you were supposed to get the Uber-Duber Only on Saturdays Super Mega-Strength On Your Deathbed Version…:brickwall:

Cheers,

Gonna go out on a limb, here, and guess you either didn’t write it down, or you did a “quick-grab” and din look careful-like???!!!

Was there a “look” when you got …???…you know the one…

I have never once, at any point in my life that I can remember, ever ridden on a train or a subway.
But, the Joy of the El when it goes underground…

The Sounds
The Smells
The Diversity
The Corridor Musicians
The Jostling
The Clickety-Clack
The Indecipherability of the Automated Station Announcements

Oh…

The dumbasses at work who want to send me their manifesto whenever they miss a validity response. The chat program does not exist so you can send me 7 chats in a row that are 3 or 4 thousand words a piece. Our chat program is for short instant messages, not your chance to rail against the universe for missing a validity.

You got it wrong. Shut the fuck up.

I starting using mass transit (trains & subway) in Europe, when I was in the USN and visiting an overseas port. It got me ready for using mass transit when I have to go to San Francisco. I take the light rail for the last 60 miles into town and miss all the expensive tolls, parking nightmares and traffic jams. When you are over 65, the rides are half price on MUNI and BART. It is worth it even at full price.

I am a total mass transit geek.

Subways, streetcars, buses, light rail, whatever. You name it, I ride it. I actually enjoy riding the subway.

When I’m not being crushed, that is.

Hell, if I lived in a city like this - with decent mass transit - I’d sell my car in a heartbeat.

I went to a birthday party of a friend yesterday, someone me and my best friend both know carpooled with me since I don't have a driving license, she also would take me back to the nearest bus station.

But the problem was, they started serving food by the time I normally went had to go home. So I asked the person I normally carpooled with if she could take me home, thankfully I could. If you're asking why I couldn't carpool with her, she said she would stay late and since I'm not an night owl this would be an issue.

But once my original carpooler went home and my best friend's fiance went to sleep, my best friend started to complain about my original carpooler and her fiance. At my friend's birthday party! Granted it was organised at her place but still. Because of it I was home at 1 am and slept the majority of the day because of it!

When i’m attempting to flirt with girls and they think i’m just being friendly!!! No! I am not! How do you flirt with girls, as a girly girl, without it turning into some compliment cycle of calling each other pretty?!?!?
Just one example, a couple weeks ago a girl i know and I went out together, we both know we like girls, complimented each other all day, held hands all day, screamed i love you in each others faces, and watched dr who with her holding my hand in her lap and head on my shoulder. LIKE IM TRYNA NOT BE FRIENDLY HOW DO YOU DO MORE THAN THAT:brickwall:

Did you ask the retailer what's going on? You can always dispute the charge with your credit card company.

We have a light rail in Phoenix, but it doesn't close enough to wear I live to make it worth using.

I use it in the San Francisco Bay Area. On each trip I save 10 gallons of gas, 8 dollars on bridge tolls, 7 dollars per hour parking garages, and being stuck in stop and go traffic for last 60 miles each way. I have to go to UCSF Health to see medical specialists, and it is so easy to use the mass transit, all the methods of travel use the same card to get on and off. The BART stations at the end of the line have safe and inexpensive parking (3 dollars permit for the day, 7 dollars reserved overnight parking, free on weekends and holidays), if you park in SF your car will most likely be broken into, even if you have no valuables in sight.

Kiss her

I'm seriously considering buying noice cancelling headphones, my sensitivity is a mess lately and I can't tell if it's because of my sleep schedule that's still messed up because because of the birthday party or my age.

Because I went to the train station station today and I had to focus on speaking with my mom while being distracted by the P.A. system, three different groups of children and the heat. The loud lady in the bus on the way home didn't help anything
