DS9 should've stopped going to the MU after the second episode. If not so, definitely after the third - the latter MU episodes weren't really interesting, nor thought provoking. "Crossover", if anything, was brilliant.
All they seemed to be about after a while was... "Is nearly everyone gay in this universe or something?"
i'd love to see The Return as a movie, but i couldn't do without FC, so i agree with E-T's post on having The Return as a prequel for FC.
of course, since they destroyed the borg homeworld, i guess FC wouldn't work would it, unless the Borg Cube was a last ditch effort to destroy humanity. make it where the queen was out for blood, not assimilation. i could really see that happening.
i don't think i've read federation yet, i'll have to check it out from the library.

What is MU and MUS? I'm still trying to learn all the abbreviations. It's like learning a new language.I should see if I can make a scan of this group shot in the MUS, just so everyone can see the MU versions of the TWOK uniforms. They actually did a pretty nice job, considering it's not an easy version to do. Also, Mirror Saavik is hot.
I have always been fascinated with the Mirror storylines. Something about Spock with a mustache and goatee.... It's also one of the few ENTERPRSE episodes I really enjoyed.
A gay Star Trek premise? I'd love to see that. Seems like it's the only equality they haven't promoted.

The Ashes of Eden, which started life as Shatner's proposal for Trek VI at the same time as Bennett's First Adventure, for Generations.
I think Probe would be a great replacement for Star Trek V since it features the Romulans as the villains and gives some resolution to the whole issue of whatever happened to the thing.
Better still the original draft of Margaret Bonnano's Music of the Spears would make a great cinematic continuation of the events of TVH. MoTS was heavily rewritten, not by the original author, and became Probe.
Of course the Conspiracy aliens were to be the Borg, but they didn't have the budget at the time.
