So got to the final episode.
That was one wild ride. I think it would be great now to start over from the very first episode all over again.

This isn't a show like Star Trek but I lovingly call it "Star Trek without the bullshit" because it's a lot more series and in a lot of parts feels way more grounded, especially the technology, the way their ships move and how they are designed and look. It feels a lot more grounded then Trek in that respect.

I enjoyed each season and I just realised that as I watched each one felt different to the one before and after it. Loved that final scene with the press briefing. Way to go. That's perfect What Holden did.

Oh the Protomolecule, that's a big part of the story too and to be honest I wasn't sure what that was about having never read the books but the show explains it well. I wasn't sure how they would do such a concept but it wasn't done in a hokey way at all and it really didn't feel at all "too out there" and too fantastical. Of course being alien technology yes it can do things that are beyond what humans can engineer but it really didn't at all feel like they overdid any of that side of the story, they didn't let it take over everything in episodes it was featured in either which was kind of refreshing. Yes it's a threat and it's out there but we have other stories to tell here as well so that's good and there were plenty of other stories that they told.

This is a show you should definitely watch and give a try to. It's good.

I haven't seen the show yet, but I have read the books and they are my favorite book series.

Cara Gee is also in Sweet Tooth...anyways she was fantastic as Drummer.

The Avasarala figure is just so amazing.....yeah.
That was a great ride!

I'm in the middle of an Expanse watch-through myself, having just finished Season 3, and I've come to the realization that I let other opinions negatively color my read on the character of Ashford and his actions when the reality of things is that he was only positioned as an antagonist to our main characters because what he felt the right thing was to do was the opposite of what they felt the right thing to do was, and I've now realized that he really is/was my favorite new character.

The Expanse was fantastic, it was a great story with nice twists and turns, and had an outstanding cast and interesting characters.
Anybody here read the comics that pick up after the finale?

Yeah I felt like they had a hell of a lot more story to tell then it just ends... Odd that they shoved the story about the kids and the strange animals in at what seemed like the very last minute unless they had no idea they were being wrapped up.

I think there are three or four more books after where they finished the show, so there was a lot of stuff that the show wasn't able to cover.

There have been rumors and implications that the show creators intend to adapt the final three books of the series at some point in the future, and consider the current status quo more of a “pause” than an “end.” But there’s not going to be news about it until there’s news, so who knows if such a continuation would start production in a year or in a decade.
