Hey, I love the funny hat!* :p

...even if I didn't realize it was a funny hat for a long time and just thought it was part of his body.

*Dead serious.

Oh great, an actor so big that he'll probably never wear the mask, much less wear it all the time. Exactly what the character of Dr. Doom needs :sigh:

Seriously, Dr. Doom needs to keep his mask on almost as much as Judge Dredd does, and the 2000s FF movies couldn't even stand to hide the face of a C-List TV actor for more then two or three scenes combined over both movies. Even besides that, I don't know if Victor Von Doom hailing from Boston instead of Latveria is a great change (and Affleck is not an actor that can do accents, he can barely hide his old Boston accent, so it would be hard to buy him as coming from a Eastern European country).

This sounds like one of those rumors that ends up being just a rumor, but honestly Affleck as Doom would just be terrible casting in my opinion.
I think The Last Duel, Air and The Tender Bar have shown that Affleck is a much better actor than he gets credit for. I also thought he made a really good Batman. But, yeah, even setting aside the fact that he’s already identified with two superhero roles, I’m also really struggling to see him in the role of Doom. Hopefully this is just a clickbait rumour, given how good the casting has been to date.

Affleck as Doom is not a problem for me, as he has delivered great performances, so if his being in talks to take on the role turn out to be true--fine. My concern is how well the FF are presented, as the concept has suffered in every live action adaptation ever produced.
That's where I'm at with the MCU these days. Casting big names or interesting actors is one thing, but none of it matters if the director and - most importantly - the script is shit. And sadly, Marvel has been missing more than hitting in my eyes since they blew their wad with Endgame.

I mean, one problem is that a lot of actors find it hard to act without all of their faces but we've seen it work with Peter Weller as Robocop, Karl Urban as Judge Dredd, Edward Norton in "Kingdom of Heaven" and (to an extent) Pedro Pascal as the Mandalorian.

It does fit in with what we do know, and that is that Bob iger has stated that they have quietly killed a few projects. And given that we haven't heard so much as a a single update regarding the production of Armor Wars...

Certainly true but the lack of news doesn't actually mean it's dead. Until Feige or someone similar says it's actually dead, then I'm going still assume it's in production on some level.

In actual news (maybe..), Agatha might have changed its name yet again although considering the subtitle, it seems awfully weird:

The first title revealed back in 2021 was Agatha: House of Harkness. A few months later, at Comic-Con 2022, that was changed to Agatha: Coven of Chaos. A year or so after that, it became Agatha: Darkhold Diaries. Finally, earlier this year, it became just plain Agatha. You’d imagine it couldn’t change again (unless, of course, Marvel finally goes with the always-best choice Agatha All Along) but that may not be the case. Monday morning, the official Marvel Studios account tweeted a new Agatha title which was deleted only minutes later. The title was Agatha: The Lying Witch With Great Wardrobe.

io9 reached out to Disney for clarity on what that title is or isn’t and will update this post when or if we hear. The fact the title was deleted makes one thing clear though. It is not the title of the show. At least, not yet. Maybe it was a mistake or a joke. But either way, whatever “The Lying Witch With Great Wardrobe” is, we are here for it.

Now, objectively, it’s the worst title of the bunch. It’s just too long and too hard to say. And yet, its C.S. Lewis roots and almost sassy energy do fit with Agatha’s vibes. It’s also a literal, factual statement. Agatha is a lying witch and she does have a great wardrobe. So, whatever the case regarding the reveal and delete, we hope it’s at least the title of one of the nine episodes coming later this year.
