Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

So why do we object to killing when other animals do it all the time? Cannibalism?

I don't understand. Should we stop applying morality on humans because we're mere animals? Because I study a lot of behaviors in animals people object to in humans, including eating other animals, and killing rivals.

Taki is a brand of spicy cheetos-like snacks. I think they are nasty. I really don't think they'll ever come up with Taki Ramen.

I don't think we have ever had Takis here in Australia.

A few years back they even did Twisties in tomato flavour, bacon, abd chilli flavours.

Chilli wasn't too bad but the worst was the tomato flavoured ones.

Actually saw these for the first time on Saturday when I was wandering around the supermarket.

An Internet rabbit hole had me looking at floor plans of The Gherkin (the odd shaped building in London) and it made me realize just how long a shadow Franz Joseph's blueprints cast over the ships blueprints that followed.

edit to add clarification.

Mel Gibson giving his all in generic straight-to-video crap shows how far more talented he is than everyone around him. But he made his own bed.

I just go back to our moral sense. It's pretty simple to me.
I think there have been studies that have shown that animals have that too.

Because animals don't have any other options, but we do.

Of course not. We do have our own system of what we consider right and wrong, and many animals do too.

Because our society has decided that we shouldn't. We have our system of rules that we operate by, just like a wolf pack, or an elephant herd, or a chimp family has their own rules that they operate by. We have also come up with alternatives to those, that other animals haven't.

A big, round office building has circular floor plans. The TOS Enterprise's saucer has circular deck plans. Franz Joseph used many standard architectural drafting conventions and symbols. I don't see one influencing the other.

So humans are different because a different standard gets applied to them? Seems rather unfair to say humans are animals yet punish them for the same behavior as animals express reminds me of a Spock quote:
Interesting. Your Earth people glorify organized violence for forty centuries, but you imprison those who employ it privately."

ETA: my Calvin and Hobbes of the day seems relevant too.

Never watched The Good Doctor, but all the commercials make the main character come across as very unlikable and difficult.

Not exactly, and to clarify, I meant a shadow over everyone's followon ship's blueprints

I'm flying to San Francisco on Sunday. I just got a notification from United.

My first thought was: FUUUUUUUUUUUCK

My second thought was: Oh, never mind, it's only to choose my inflight meal.
