Russell T. Davies Returns to Doctor Who as New Showrunner

I still suspect that somewhere at the back of his mind the notion of getting someone famous to drop in as a one off Pre-Hatnell Doctor excites him (Kate Winslet is the Doctor!)
That's been my guess as well. It's kind of hard to pass that one up. I think that by itself almost guarantees the Timeless child sticks around.

I also doubt we've seen the last of Jo Martin.
Jo Martin is one cool lady that I was fortunate to meet at a convention. My buddy and I were joking around with her before some event started and she gave us some stuff that was supposed to go to people who paid extra. Hopefully they had extras! Massive amounts of energy and seemed to enjoy it as much as the rest of us.

She said the Chibnall had warned her about social media blowback regarding her character and that she might avoid it when her episodes aired. But she wasn't having any of that! She didn't worry about it.

Also we asked her what her understanding of the character was and she said that Chibnall told her that she is the Doctor directly before Hartnell. That's not too surprising but nice to have some confirmation. I think Chibnall has later said that it's either uncertain and up to the viewer to decide.

Millie will be starring in (another) remake of classic costume drama "The Forsyte Saga" but of course, with at least eight months before S3 shooting due to Ncuti's theatre commitment it doesn't clarify anything one way or the other. (Beyond truly killing the idea of her ruining her career due to being "difficult".)

Subway cars in New York are covered with Doctor Who advertising. Remember when people thought Disney weren't doing anything to promote the show?

For anyone with no option but to watch them on TV (hello, Ireland) Episodes 1 & 2 will be on from 6.20-8.00.

"Space Babies" is only 45 minutes but "The Devil's Chord" is 55. I guess the lengths will be all over the place now since they don't have to factor in commercials for non-BBC broadcasters.

Are they going eventually add the earlier series/seasons? I understand the focus is on the new season, but I haven't seen anything about if or when they'll add series 1 - 13.

Count me among those who love to see more of Jo Martin again.

Ditto.

I would be shocked if we don't see her sooner than later.

Not too sure... but if she is brought back, outside of Big Finish audios, how will she be written? The audience appreciation of her was pretty high from the start, regardless of the issues some fans found divisive (the timeless child reveal).

How about a flashback, to before the full sentence is carried out, where she has just said goodbye to Jamie again, and wonders about Zoe, and…
